British Gymnastics Creating New Club
How do I create a brand-new club?
This guide will show you how to create and register a brand-new club for the first time
This guide will cover:
- How to start the journey of becoming a British Gymnastics registered club
- How to complete your club registration
- How to access the system ready to manage your club
Log into your ‘My BG account’ using your email address/username and password
Once logged in, click on the ‘Profile’ button to take you to your personal details
Click on ‘Credentials’
If you have existing awards and certificates, they will appear here
Click ‘Add Credentials’
This will open a list of credentials on the right-hand side of the screen
Type ‘new club’ into the search bar and select the ‘Create A New Club’ credential
Complete the form with the details of your new club
Make sure you keep scrolling to the bottom of the form and complete all the mandatory fields. Please note- the email address, contact number, website and social media profiles will appear on the Activity Finder on our website
Once complete, click **‘save”

You will see the credential in your profile as ‘pending approval’
This will now be sent to our Member Services Team, who will review your details
If approved, you will receive an email notification outlining your next steps
Once your request is approved you will automatically be assigned as the Club Manager and be given Administrator access rights
Please allow up to 24 hours for your access rights to activate
Once available you will see ‘My Club’ in your menu tiles
Once the following key members are linked to your club and have the relevant prerequisites for their role, you can complete your club registration

Click into the ‘Menu’ button and select **‘Club Affiliation’

Click ‘More info’ to view the benefits of becoming a British Gymnastics club
Please note this is specific to the home nation in which your club is located, therefore, membership benefits may vary
Complete the information for your club
Remember to scroll to the bottom to complete all questions
Please note- the club description, and activities will be displayed on the club finder on our website
Ensure you add all the venues that your club delivers gymnastics within
This information will be displayed on the Activity Finder on our website
Next you need to add the relevant people into key roles
Click ‘Add’ to bring up a list of your members linked to your club on the right-hand side
Here you can search for the appropriate person and select them
When selected, click ‘done’
Please note- only those with the relevant prerequisites can be selected. You can see the prerequisites required underneath the role. This list is just the minimum requirements of clubs and you can add additional roles at a later date
Choose whether to get involved in Rise Gymnastics Programme and Award Scheme
If you select ‘yes’, you will also need to understand and confirm the declaration
You will then be able to purchase the programme in the British Gymnastics Official Shop
Choose whether you would like to access MY Leadership Academy
Choose whether you would like your club to appear on the Activity Finder on our website
This is automatically ‘yes’ but you can change it here if you wish.
We strongly recommend that you select ‘yes’ to ensure new members can find you on our website
Read the data sharing arrangement, privacy notice, Membership Rules and associated policies before completing the declarations.
Click **‘finish’

Click **‘Yes, Proceed to Cart

Check the item summary
The price will be discounted on a pro rate basis
You can choose to pay via card or bank transfer
Complete the payment as appropriate
Once complete, click back into ‘Club Affiliation’ to review you club membership
Here you can see how long you have until you are able to renew
