Product Usage Instructions

Regulatory Instructions

  • Before using the terminal, ensure it has not been disassembled, modified, or shows any abnormal behavior. Do not use if any issues are detected.
  • Avoid strong electromagnetic waves from devices like microwave ovens, magnets, shoplifting prevention devices, high-voltage wires, automatic doors, communication antennas, etc.
  • Condensation may occur when transitioning from a cold to a warm environment. Do not use the unit until any water droplets have evaporated.
  • Avoid static electricity by not leaving the unit in direct sunlight for extended periods. Handle the unit carefully to prevent damage from impact, drops, or heavy objects.
  • Power the unit with SATURN-PX by Castles Technology using a 12V input only. Operating temperature range is 0°C to 50°C.

Insert SAM Card

  1. Remove the back cover.
  2. Insert SAM card into the desired slot.
  3. Reverse the operation of step 1 to install the back cover.

Insert Micro SD Card

  • Q: What should I do if I encounter condensation on the unit?
    A: If condensation occurs, do not use the unit until the connected water droplets evaporate to prevent damage.

Introduction

This document provides a guideline for operating and configuring Castles S2L terminal. The scope of this document includes setting up the terminal, basic operation, application lifecycle, and some advanced features.

Regulatory instruction of usage

  • Before using the terminal, please check has it been disassembled, modified, or showed abnormal situation. If yes, please do not use.
  • Please stay away from strong electromagnetic waves. (Example) Microwave ovens, magnets, shoplifting prevention devices, high-voltage wires, automatic doors, communication antennas, etc.
  • Condensation can occur when moving from a cold place to a warm place. If condensation occurs, do not use the unit until the connected water droplets evaporate.
  • Static electricity may occur in some places (such as where you use a carpet).
  • Please do not leave it in the sun for a long time.
  • Please operate the unit carefully as it is a precision instrument. Do not apply impact, drop or heavy objects on top of the unit.
  • Do not attach dust, oil, etc. to a part of the power terminal. Also, please do not scratch.
  • Power supplied by SATURN-PX by Castles Technology with 12V input only.
  • Operation temperature is 0 ℃~50 ℃.

Insert SAM Card

  • Step 1: Remove the back cover.
  • Step 2: Insert SAM card into the desired slot.
  • Step 3: Reverse the operation of step 1 to install the back cover

Insert Micro SD Card

  • Step 1: Remove the back cover.
  • Step 2: Place the Micro SD memory card.
  • Step 3: Reverse the operation of step 1 to install the back cover.

 Basic Operation

WIFI connection

  1. 1. Slide up to view all the applications in the terminal.
  2. Click System Panel.
  3. Input first password and second password.
  4. Click Settings.
  5. Click Network & internet
  6. Click Wi-Fi
  7. Enable Wi-Fi and select desired Wi-Fi SSID.

Bluetooth connection

  1.  Repeat the step 1 to 4 in Wi-Fi connection.
  2.  Click Connected devices
  3. Click Pair new device
  4.  Confirm for access.
  5. Check for the result.

  • Operation in the band 5150-5250 MHz is only for indoor use to reduce the potential for harmful interference to co-channel mobile satellite systems.

Radiation Exposure Statement:

  • This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with minimum distance 20cm between the radiator & your body.
  • Note: The country code selection is for non-US model only and is not available to all US model. Per FCC regulation, all WiFi product marketed in US must fixed to US operation channels only.

This device complies with ISED’s licence-exempt RSSs. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

  1. This device may not cause harmful interference, and
  2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Radiation Exposure Statement:
This equipment complies with ISED radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with greater than 20cm between the radiator & your body.
Caution :

  1. the device for operation in the band 5150-5250 MHz is only for indoor use to reduce the potential for harmful interference to co-channel mobile satellite systems;
  2.  where applicable, antenna type(s), antenna models(s), and worst-case tilt angle(s) necessary to remain compliant with the e.i.r.p. elevation mask requirement set forth in section 6.2.2.3 shall be clearly indicated.

    The equipment is only suitable for mounting wall at height ≤ 2m..
