Product Usage Instructions

  • Open the battery compartment.
  • Install the CR2032 battery using a coin to tighten it securely.
  • Remove the DuoTrap cover from the chainstay using a 2.5mm hex key.
  • Install the sensor into the chainstay and tighten the bolt to 2Nm.
  • Install the rubber plug.
  • Snap the speed magnet onto the inside/trailing edge non-drive side spoke.
  • Center align the speed magnet with the marking on the sensor.
  • Install the cadence magnet on the non-drive side crank arm or align the cadence band with the marking on the sensor.

FAQ

  • Q: How long will the sensor stay active after activation?
  • A: The sensor will remain active for at least 2 minutes after initial activation, even if the LEDs stop flashing.
  • Q: What type of batteries can be used with the DuoTrap Sensor?
  • A: The DuoTrap Sensor is compatible with CR2032 batteries, whether alkaline, carbon-zinc, or rechargeable.

What In The Box

Installation Instructions

  1. Open the Battery compartment.
  2. Install the battery using a coin to tighten it.
  3. Remove the DuoTrap cover from the chainstay using a 2.5mm hex.
  4. Install the sensor into the chainstay.
  5. Tighten the bolt to 2Nm and install the rubber plug.
  6. Snap magnet onto inside/trailing edge non-drive side spoke. Some carbon frame/wheel combinations may require the magnet to be flipped so the thin side faces the sensor.
  7. Center align speed magnet with either marking on sensor as depicted.
  8. Gently tighten the wheel magnet on the spoke only if slipping during riding.
  9. Install a cadence magnet on the non-drive side crank arm with the logo facing out. The pedal will need to be removed for this step.
  10. Center align cadence band with either marking on the sensor as depicted.
  11. LED indicators will flash upon activation by two complete pedal strokes and continue to flash 10 times.

PAIRING AND SENSOR ACTIVATION

  • Pairing: Consult your Ant + or Bluetooth Smart device’s instructions for pairing. The sensor will need to be activated directly before the pairing process.
  • Sensor Activation: To verify proper magnet installation, spin a wheel or turn the crank more than two revolutions. Initial sensor activation and magnet alignment will be indicated by the LEDs flashing up to 10 times.
  • Please Note: The sensor will stay active for at least 2 minutes although the LEDs no longer flash.
  • Bluetooth Smart Connection: Install and activate the sensor. Turn on your phone’s (or other compatible device)
  • Bluetooth capability. Open the desired cycling app and follow the instructions for Bluetooth Smart sensor connection.
  • Please note, that Bluetooth Smart devices do not always appear in your phone’s listing, even when connected.
  • All apps collect, share, and display speed and cadence information differently.
