For more detailed information, you can refer to the online manuals available in multiple languages on the following websites:

These manuals contain important safety information, maintenance guidelines, and instructions on how to properly dispose of electrical components. If you don’t have access to a computer or the Internet, you can contact your local authorized retailer to request a printed manual.

Product Usage Instructions

Before using your e-bike, it is crucial to read and understand all the instructions provided in the manual. Ignorance of these instructions could lead to serious harm for yourself or others. Here are a few key points to keep in mind while riding your new e-bike:

  1. You’re faster than you look: E-bikes may resemble regular bikes, but they can reach higher speeds. Always ride with extra care and be vigilant of your surroundings, as drivers and pedestrians might not anticipate your speed.
  2. All bike rules still apply: While an e-bike offers more freedom and fun, you are responsible for knowing and following all the rules of the road, paths, and trails in your area. Enjoy your ride, but remember that with greater speed comes greater responsibility.

Overview
The following diagram illustrates the main components of your e-bike:

Display
The display provides you with important information about your e-bike’s performance, such as speed, battery level, and pedal assistance settings.

Pedal Assistance Buttons
These buttons allow you to adjust the level of pedal assistance provided by the drive system. Pressing these buttons will increase or decrease the assistance level.

Battery Charger
The battery charger is used to charge the e-bike’s battery. Make sure to use the provided charger and follow the charging instructions in the manual.

Battery
The battery powers the e-bike’s drive system. It is essential to keep the battery charged for optimal performance.

Torque/Cadence Sensor
The torque/cadence sensor detects your pedaling force and speed to provide the appropriate level of assistance from the motor.

Motor
The motor is responsible for providing pedal assistance to make your ride easier and more enjoyable. It works in conjunction with the torque/cadence sensor.

Remote
The remote control allows you to turn the e-bike on or off and control additional features such as lights (if equipped).

Turn the E-Bike ON or OFF
To turn the e-bike on, press and hold the power button on the remote for approximately 2 seconds. The display should activate, indicating that the e-bike is ready to use. To turn it off, repeat the same process.

Turn the Lights ON or OFF (if equipped)
If your e-bike is equipped with lights, you can turn them on or off using the remote control. Press and hold the light control button on the remote for more than 2 seconds to toggle the lights on or off. Please note that you need to stop pedaling before you can activate this feature while riding.

Charge and Monitor the Battery
To charge your e-bike’s battery, connect the charger to a power outlet and plug the other end into the charging port on your e-bike. Follow the charging instructions provided in the manual to ensure proper charging. The display will show the battery level during charging, allowing you to monitor the progress. What you don’t know could seriously hurt you or others. Be smart. Read and know before you go.

A few things to know about riding your new e-bike

  1. Start slow
We know – fast is fun. But e-bikes take a bit of getting used to. It may be tempting to ramp your
e- bike up to the fastest setting straight away, but we recommend taking it nice and easy the first few rides. Start on the lowest assist setting and learn the feeling of pedal assistance.

  2. Brake sooner
E- bikes are heavier than normal bikes and they move faster. More power, more speed and more weight. Once you get moving, you’ll need more time to react, so you should start slowing down sooner on your e-bike than you would on a normal bike. When you’re getting used to your new e-bike, start braking with a lighter hand and a gradual pull of brake levers. And never grab just your front brake lever – brake with both front and rear evenly.

  3. You’re faster than you look
E- bikes look just like regular bikes, so drivers and pedestrians might not expect you to be riding as fast as your e-bike allows. Ride with extra care and pay greater attention to your surroundings.

  4. All bike rules still apply
While your new e-bike will bring you a new level of freedom and fun, you’re still responsible for knowing and following all the rules of the road, paths, and trails in your area. Have fun out there, but with greater speed, there is greater responsibility!

Care for your battery and e-bike

Along with the fun of having an e-bike comes a few special warnings to keep you and your bike safe.

Install accessories carefully
Consult with an e-bike technician before installing accessories. Using the wrong bolt in the wrong place could cause a short circuit in the electrical system and/or damage the battery, which might lead to over-heating. A battery that has been severely impacted could catch fire. If you suspect damage to your battery, visit your local bike shop immediately to have the battery inspected.

Transport your e-bike safely

  • The Hyena drive system adds weight to the bicycle. Overloading a vehicle-mounted bicycle rack can result in serious injury or death. Refer to your vehicle rack manual to be sure it is compatible with your e-bike.
  • Do not leave your e-bike in your car in the summer. The temperature inside your car could exceed 60 °C (140 °F). Extreme heat could damage your battery or cause it to catch fire.

Store your e-bike properly
If you won’t be riding your e-bike for three months or more, take the following steps to properly store it:

  • Store your e-bike in a dry, ventilated location away from moisture, heat sources, and combustible or easily flammable objects.
  • Store your e-bike at the recommended temperature. Storing your e-bike outside of this range could damage the battery, affect its performance or cause the battery to catch fire.
  • Monitor the battery charge. Keep the battery charged to a minimum of 30% to 80%. The battery can be damaged by deep discharge.
  • When the battery charge is restored, disconnect the e-bike from the charger. Do not store your e- bike connected to the charger.

Wash your e-bike gently
Do not submerge your e-bike or its components in water or wash them with a high-pressure hose. Water could contact the electrical system and damage it.

Repair and maintain your e-bike safely

  • Never attempt to open any parts of the electrical system. Always contact your local bike shop to service any parts of the electrical system.
  • Any unauthorised modification (tampering) of your bike’s drive system is prohibited. If you suspect that your bike has been tampered with, or experience a change in the speed at which your drive assistance cuts off, stop riding and contact an authorised e-bike retailer for assistance.

Dispose of components according to local rules
Dispose of the drive unit, battery, speed sensor, remote, wiring, accessories and packaging in an environmentally correct manner according to local laws and regulations. Do not dispose of an e-bike or its components with household waste. Contact your local e-bike retailer for proper recycling options.
