SPECIAL QUALITY FEATURES
High filter capacity
- The 3-level pre-filter removes larger particles such as dust, hairs, dead skin flakes, etc. It can be cleaned by means of a vacuum cleaner and clear water.
- The HEPA filter H13 is a highly efficient particle filter and one of the most important filters in the air purifier. It can effectively filter smoke, dust, hairs, fine dust particles (PM2.5) and other particles which are hazardous to the human body. Particles of a size of 0.3 microns are filtered out with accuracy of 95 to 99.95%.
- The carbon filter can effectively absorb organic substances, efficiently remove odour and eliminate volatile organic compounds, such as formaldehyde, toluene, hydrogen sulphide, chlorobenzene and air pollutants.
- The photocatalytic filter can effectively remove toxic and harmful gases, such as formaldehyde, from the air and efficiently clean the air; at the same time, it can effectively kill a multitude of bacteria and viruses and break down the toxins released by bacteria or fungi.
UV disinfection
The UV disinfection lamp disinfects the photocatalytic filter and the area
behind the filter unit through exposing them to ultraviolet light and
radiation.
Air quality sensor and air indicator display
Analysis of the room air quality and effective control of the device
through precise particle measurement.
Timer function
Selectable operating period of 1 to 9 hours.
Anions
The ion generator generates 5 million anions/cm³ which improve the air quality
and help ensure the user’s health
COMMISSIONING THE DEVICE
Please check that the scope of delivery is complete before commissioning the device.
**** Only use original parts!
Note
- For commissioning, please remove the protective film of the device. Subsequently, remove the front cover (A) by reaching into the air inlet slots on the left and right with your fingers and pulling the cover off towards the front.
- Then remove the two filters (I and J) and the their protective film.
- Now check that the UV tubular lamp (H ) is correctly installed.
- Then insert the filters into the device again: first the combi filter (I) and then the aluminium pre-filter (J). When doing so, ensure that the pulling straps at the filters are always pointed towards you. Slide the filters into the opening until they reach the stop; ensure that you only touch the filters at their edge.
- Now insert the front cover into the lower guides and latch it in the upper retaining magnets.
- Then insert the mains plug into a socket. Initially, all light indicators of the display will be illuminated, then the On/Off button will flash. You can then operate the unit via the remote control or directly at the device.
- The unit is started by actuating the On/Off button.
The display shows the current settings of the unit and the measuring values (room temperature, humidity and fine dust content in the air). When a certain function is active, the corresponding button flashes. The sensor buttons acknowledge every press with a “beep” sound.

performance in accordance with the measured air quality. If the air quality is
poor, the indicator is illuminated in red, and the fan runs at the highest
level. In the event of a medium air quality, the indicator is illuminated in
yellow, and the fan runs at medium level. If the air quality is good, the
indicator is illuminated in green, and the fan runs at the lowest level.

button twice stops the sleep function. (The operation with the remote control
works independently of this feature)

| Negative ions (anions) are generated: This function causes the release of a
high concentration of negatively charged oxygen ions. These negative ions can
eliminate any bacteria remaining in the air and improve the air quality.
Additionally, negative ions can also support metabolism in humans and improve
human health. This function can be activated and deactivated as required (on
the remote control by means of the “Ionizer” button).
| The UV button activates the UV-C tubular lamp in the device and thus the
photocatalytic filter. This type of filter is particularly well suited for
removing organic material from the air, such as bacteria and viruses
(“Sterilize” button on the remote control).
| Pressing the Lock button once activates the child safety lock, which is
signalled by the icons becoming illuminated. This blocks all operating
options. For releasing the child safety lock, press the Lock button (Child
lock on the remote control) for 5 seconds. The icon appears on the display.
| After more than 3,000 operating hours, the indicator starts flashing; this
is a reminder that the filter must be replaced. After having replaced the
filter, the indicator is to be reset by pressing the Filter Reset button for 5
seconds.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Pull the mains plug before cleaning.
- Please be sure to wear a facemask and gloves when replacing the filter.
- Clean the outer surface of the device only with a soft, damp cloth. Subsequently rub it dry with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, benzine, thinners or alcohol.
Filters:
- Depending on how clean the ambient air is, the pre-filter should be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner every 2-3 weeks. It should be cleaned with clear water (and detergent as anti-grease agent, if necessary) every 2 months.
- Let the filter dry completely before inserting it again.
- The intelligence control unit will issue a reminder for replacing the combi filter after 3,000 operating hours. Under normal ambient air conditions, the combi filter can be used for a maximum of 12 months.
- Both filters can be purchased as set from a specialised dealer or directly from Promed, under www. promed.de (item no. 334001).
UV-C tubular lamp:
- Clean the UV-C tubular lamp with a dry cloth when necessary. Depending on the amount of operating hours, the lamp has lifespan of approx. 15-20 months. Due to the declining output, we recommend replacing the UV-C tubular lamp after 12 months.
- The UV-C tubular lamp can be purchased from a specialised dealer or directly from Promed (item no. 334002).
- Switch off the device before replacing the UV-C tubular lamp. Rotate the lamp in its socket by 90 degrees, remove the old lamp and insert the new lamp. Now rotate the new lamp in its socket by 90 degrees.
Cleaning the particle sensor: (recommended every 2 months) Open the
sensor (C) cover on the left side of the device. Use a cotton swab which is
slightly moistened on one side (distilled water or alcohol) to clean the lens.
Then use the dry side of the cotton swab to remove any residual moisture on
the lens. Re-attach the sensor cover after cleaning.

Removing odours is difficult.| Check the filter for damage or foreign particle
deposits. Remove the combi filter, let it dry thoroughly in fresh air (without
direct sun radiation). If there is no improvement, replace the filter
Removing air contamination is difficult| Clean the pre-filter. If there is no
improvement, replace the filter

Questions and answers:
-
The operating panel is not illuminated.
Check whether the device is connected to the correct voltage supply, whether the mains plug has been plugged in and whether the front cover of the device has been mounted correctly. -
The message “Replace filter” is flashing.
The filter has reached its maximum operating hours. Replace the filter. -
Why does the noise level increase during operation?
Too much dust has collected at the pre-filter. Clean the filter or replace it. -
Why is there a high level of air contamination indoors?
Ensure that all doors and windows are closed. Check whether there are other sources of contamination. -
Why is the effectiveness of the air purification steadily decreasing?
The device may have been used in an area with high dust concentration, which caused the filter to reach its filter limit at an early stage already. Clean the pre-filter and/or replace the combi-filter. -
Can the combi filter be cleaned?
Due to its complex structure, the combi filter cannot be cleaned. It is a disposable item. -
What is the lifespan of the filter?
Under normal indoor conditions, the filter may be used for up to 12 months. When being used in rooms with increased levels of contamination (particles, bacteria, viruses, etc.), the lifespan may be shorter. -
