Please store this instruction manual for future reference.

Place the unit on a solid surface

Please charge the product completely before using for the first time.

Please remove the cable from the radio after charging.

Only use USB 5V for charging.

Please charge the battery on a fireproof surface and away from flammable items or liquids.

Charging should only be done by an adult or under adult supervision.

NEVER leave the charging unit unattended.

Do not expose KT-190DB to high humidity, direct sunlight, dirt, heavy vibration or extreme
temperatures. -
Do not open the cabinet. Only qualified technicians are allowed to handle this radio internal parts.

If service or repair is required, this must also be done by qualified technicians.

User a duster or a slight damp, soft and non-fluffy rag to clean the cabinet. Do not use corrosive or strong cleaning agents. To prevent fire or shock hazards, please disconnect the charging cable when cleaning.

In case of liquid leakage from the battery, do not touch with bare hands. If liquid gets into the eye, do not rub, please flush with plenty of clean water immediately and consult a doctor; if liquid gets onto the body and clothes, please clean with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor if necessary.

- Connect a 3.5mm audio cable or an earphone to this input for listening.
- The main speaker shall be disabled when connected.

CONNECTING YOUR RADIO
Your radio is supplied with a Lithium battery, please avoid operating the unit under direct sunlight or in hot, humid or dusty places, and follow the safety instruction in this manual.
OPERATING YOUR RADIO – DAB
- Carefully extends the telescopic antenna.
- Press ON/OFF MODE button to switch on radio.
- Press MODE to select DAB mode.
- First time the radio is used a FULL SCAN will be carried out. If the radio has been powered off and turned back ON again, the last used station will be selected.
- When scanning is completed the display shall indicate the number of found stations.
- You may PRESET your favorite stations by pressing PRESET/SCAN button and use TUNE UP/DOWN buttons to Save Preset and select the desired position 1 to 30 and press ENTER to save.
- When signal indicator is low is because of weak station signal or bad reception location.
- If no Stations are found after scanning, the display will show NO STATIONS FOUND and it is necessary to relocate the radio to a position with better reception. If no DAB signal is received for 15 minutes, the unit return to standby mode automatically.
SELECTING A STATION – DAB
- The display show the name of the station selected.
- Press the TUNING – or TUNING + buttons to select the station.
- Press ENTER to select.
PRESET STORE
The radio has PRESET RECALL function for DAB & FM that allows your radio station to be saved into 30 presets (30 for DAB & 30 for FM)
- Long Press INFO/MENU/BACK > select PRESET STORE> press ENTER> PRESET 1-30
- Rotating VOLUME/ENTER knob to select location to be saved
- Press ENTER to save
PRESET RECALL
The radio has a PRESET CALL function for DAB & FM that allows you saved radio stations to be called out to play (30 for DAB & 30 for FM)
- Long Press INFO/ MENU/ BACK > select PRESET RECALL> press ENTER> PRESET 1-30
- Rotating VOLUME/ENTER knob to select saved stations.
- Press ENTER to confirm.
INFORMATION SERVICES – DAB
Your radio shall display different information which can be selected by pressing the INFO button.
- Radio text (DLS): display text messages from the station.
- Program Type: shows the program type broadcast by the station.
- Ensemble: display the name of broadcaster of the DAB station.
- Station Frequency: displays the frequency of the selected station.
- Data Speed: displays the digital bit rate and mono/stereo of selected station.
- Signal Strength: shows the signal strength of the station.
- Power Source: shows Mains Power or Battery percentage
- Date / Time: displays the current date and time.
MENU FOR DAB MODE
In DAB mode, long Press INFO/MENU/BACK button to enter to Menu list

Full Scan: The radio will scan all DAB station received

Preset Recall: Saved radio stations to be called out to play

Preset Store: The radio will store your favorite stations

Manual Tune: The radio shows all DAB station frequency and the reception signal strength

DRC: Select DRC level (High / Low / Off)

Prune Invalid: Select to proceed to prune the invalid station

Prune invalid stations
If you move to a different part of the country, some of the stations which
were listed may no longer be available. Also, from time to time, some DAB
services may stop broadcasting, or may change location or frequency. Stations
which cannot be found, or which have not been received for a very long time
are shown in the station list with a question mark. The Prune stations
function will delete the marked DAB stations from your station list.
From the DAB Menu list select Prune invalid stations to cause the invalid
stations names to be removed from the list.
DRC (Dynamic Range Control) settings
Dynamic Range Control (also known as DRC) can make quieter sounds easier to
hear when your radio is used in a noisy environment by reducing the dynamic
range of the audio signal. From the DAB menu list select DRC to enter the DRC.
adjustment mode. The current DRC setting will be highlighted on the screen.
Select the required DRC setting the display will return to the previous
screen.
‘DRC Off’ – DRC is switched off, Broadcast DRC will be ignored.
‘DRC high’ – DRC is set as sent by broadcaster.
‘DRC low’ – DRC level is set to 1/2 that sent by broadcaster.
Note: Not all DAB broadcasts use the DRC function. If the broadcast does not
provide DRC information, then the DRC setting in the radio will have no
effect.
OPERATION YOUR RADIO – FM
- Carefully extend the telescopic antenna.
- Press power button to turn on the radio
- Press MODE to select FM mode
- Long press TUNE DOWN / TUNE UP buttons to auto tuned downward / upward.
- Short press TUNE DOWN / TUNE UP buttons to fine tune the station downward / upward.
DISPLAY MODES – FM
Your radio shall display below information by pressing the INFO/MENU button.
- Radio Text shows the radio text broadcast by the station.
- Program Type shows the program type broadcast by the station.
- Station name shows radio station name.
- Mono/Stereo displays if channel is playing in Mono or Stereo mode.
- Power Source shows Mains Power or Battery percentage
- Date/Time displays the current date and time
Note that these FM display mode information are only available when the radio is able to receive RDS information from the broadcaster.

Long press INFO button to enter Menu List
- Preset Recall Saved radio stations to be called out to play
- Preset Store The radio will store your favorite stations
- Scan Setting (Strong Station Only / All Stations)
- Audio Setting (Stereo Allowed / Forced Mono)
- System (refer to previous section mention on MENU FOR DAB the same)
PRESET STORE
The radio has PRESET RECALL function for DAB & FM that allows your radio station to be saved into 30 presets (30 for DAB & 30 for FM)
- Long Press INFO/MENU/BACK > select PRESET STORE> press ENTER> PRESET 1-30
- Rotating VOLUME/ENTER knob to select location to be saved
- Press ENTER to save

LANGUAGE SET
The radio is a Multilanguage user interface.
- Long Press MENU and rotate ENTER knob > System Settings > Language > English/ Francais / Deutsch / Italiano / Dutch
- Press Enter to select
DIRECT SAVE DAB STATION ( AUTO SCAN)
In FM/DAB mode, long press PRESET/SCAN button for 2 seconds. The received
stations are
automatically stored to preset numbers.
SNOOZE ALARM
When alarm sounds, press VOLUME/ENTER to activate the snooze time 9 minutes. The display shows Snooze time counting down, you can press ON/OFF/MODE to turn off the alarm completely.
SET SLEEP TIMER
- In DAB/FM mode, hold INFO/MENU/BACK button, then rotating VOLUME/ENTER to select System then select SLEEP.
- Rotating VOLUME/ENTER to select Sleep timer period circle as follow:
Remark:
In DAB/ FM mode, you can long press VOLUME/ENTER knob button to activate SLEEP TIMER.
SYSTEM RESET
If you encounter problems with your radio you may reset the radio to Factory Reset as follows
- Long press MENU and rotate ENTER knob > System Settings > Factory Reset
- Rotate ENTER to select YES / NO
- Press ENTER to select
Important :
System reset is only available when power adaptor is connected.
