Please read this manual carefully before operating the kettle.
Retain a copy for future reference. This appliance is intended to be used in
household and similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or
knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction regarding use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a Kogan.com technician or
a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
Electrical devices are not to be disposed of with domestic household waste.
Consumers should take electrical and electronic devices to waste disposal
points for correct disposal.
Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons, do not immerse cord, plugs or entire body of the kettle into water or any other liquids.
- Close supervision is required when this appliance is used by, or near children.
- Unplug the unit from the power outlet when not in use and when cleaning. Allow the unit to cool before cleaning.
- Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance has been damaged or suffered a malfunction. Unplug the appliance from the power outlet immediately and contact the Kogan.com customer support team.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter, not let it touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place the kettle on or near a hot stove, or in a heated oven.
- Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then plug the cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn the appliance off and then unplug the plug.
- Do not use this appliance for any purpose other than its intended use.
- Save a copy of these instructions.
- Do not use the kettle to heat anything other than water.
- Do not fill above the ‘MAX’ indicator.
- Do not operate kettle if the water is below the minimum level.
Note: if the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.

Please handle this product with care and inspect it regularly to ensure it is
in good working order. If the product, power supply cord or plug shows any
signs of
damage: stop use, unplug and contact Kogan.com support.

Usage
For the first time use, or after a long absence of use, it is recommended that
you fill the kettle to the maximum mark with fresh tap water, boil the kettle
and then empty it of
the water. Repeat these steps at least two times to clear the kettle of any
dust. Do not drink the discarded water.

Pull up the lid handle and the lid will open. Remove the kettle from the base and take it to the tap. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water, ensuring that it is no lower than the minimum
amount and no higher than the maximum level. Put the lid back and place the kettle back onto the base unit. -
Connect the plug to a power outlet and the LED display should light up. Press the LED display once to put the kettle into heating mode. If you press the
LED display again, it will go into keep warm mode. A third press of the LED will turn the kettle off. The LED display will go blank.
Usage Modes
- Heating Water Mode: The water will heat up to the set temperature. The display will show the temperature of the water. The default temperature is 100°C.
- Keep Warm Mode: The kettle will keep the water at the desired temperature. The kettle can bet set to temperatures between 50°C – 95°C, with the default Keep Warm temperature of 70°C. Once the water drops below the set temperature, the kettle will switch on and keep warming the water until it has reached the desired temperature again. The Keep Warm mode will switch off after 2 hours.
To change the temperature settings, press the + or – buttons, and the newly
selected temperature will be displayed on the LED screen. Each press of the
buttons will change
the temperature setting by 5°C.
Cleaning
- To prolong the life of the kettle, please clean the mineral deposits from the kettle regularly.
- Always unplug the kettle from the power socket and allow it to cool down before cleaning it.
- Do not use chemicals, steel wool or other abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of the kettle, as these will scratch the surface and cause the outside colour to fade.
To clean the kettle:
- Fill the kettle with 500ml of white vinegar and then fill to the top with water. Allow to stand for at least 1 hour.
- Empty the kettle. Wipe off any remaining deposits with a damp cloth.
- Fill the kettle with fresh water. Bring to the boil, then discard the water. Repeat this step once more, then the kettle will be ready to use.
- If necessary, the previous steps can be repeated several times.
- The outside surface of the kettle can be wiped over with a damp cloth, then polished with a dry cloth.
- Grasp the top of the scale filter and pull it upwards to remove. Wash with clean water, then dry thoroughly before replacing it in the kettle.
