Positioning and wearing Invia Motion Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) pump.

If placed in an inappropriate position or when canister is full, “Canister full” notification will appear and Invia Motion canister/tubing set must be changed to continue the therapy.

Charge battery for the first time before starting the therapy (approximate charging time is 4 hours). Recharge battery throughout the length of the therapy. The expected battery time generally exceeds 10 hours.

Information on the display

Description

  • Pump is running/On-state in intermittent mode (Symbol is blinking)
  • Constant mode
  • Negative pressure setting in mmHg
  • Battery charge level (symbol steady)
  • Battery charging (bars moving)
  • Off-state in intermittent mode (Symbol is blinking)
  • Intermittent mode
  • Battery fully charged
  • Info used time – shows runtime already used in days ( ) and hours ( ) (Example for pump that has operated for 6 days and 23 hours). Not applicable for Invia Motion Endure.

Change Invia Motion canister / tubing set

Acoustic signals are muted by pressing the button.

  1. Wash hands and prepare clean paper towel or tissue.

  2. Remove the Invia Motion NPWT pump from the carrying case. Switch the Invia Motion NPWT pump off by pressing and holding the button for 3 seconds. Press only once.

  3. Position the clamp next to the quick-connector and close the clamp on the pump tubing and also close the clamp on the dressing tubin.

  4. Disconnect the Invia Motion NPWT pump tubing from the dressing tubing by pressing on the sides of theQuick-connector. Use a paper towel or tissue to cover the tip of the used tubing to protect against wound fluid leakage.

  5. Detach the full canister/tubing set by rotating the canister to the left.

  6. Wash hands.

  7. Obtain and open a new Invia Motion canister/tubing set package.
    CAUTION

    • Do not use an Invia Motion canister/tubing set if the sterile packaging is damaged or has expired.
    • Make sure the correct canister is used: Ref 087.4016.
    • Contact your healthcare professional if the correct canister is not available.
  8. Remove the canister/tubing set from the packaging and attach it to Invia Motion NPWT pump.

  9. Connect the Invia Motion NPWT pump tubing to the dressing tubing. Push together until you hear a click.

  10. Open the clamp on the dressing tubing. Also make sure the clamp on the pump is open.

  11. Switch the Invia Motion NPWT pump on by pressing the button. Slide the Invia Motion NPWT pump into the carrying case.

  12. Ask your clinician how to properly dispose of a used canister/tubing set.
