Please read all instructions before using this product. Keep these instructions for future reference.
Intended use
Medela breast milk bottle with teat is intended to feed human milk and other liquids of similar consistency. Breastfeeding should be well established before introducing bottle feeding.
Important safety information
For your child’s safety and health WARNING!

Contnuous and proonged sucking of fluids will cause tooth decay.
– Tooth decay in young children can occur even when nonsweetened fuids are used. This can occur if the baby is allowed to use the teat for long periods through the day and particularly through the night, when sava flow is reduced or if it is used as a soother. -
Always check food temperature before feeding.

Inspect the feeding teat before each use and pull the feeding teat in all directions.

Throw away at the first signs of damage or weakness.

Keep components not in use out of the reach of children.

Never attach to cords, ribbons, laces or loose parts of cothing. The child can be strangled.

Always use this product with adult supervision.
– Accidents have occurred when babies have been left alone with drinking equipment due to the baby falling or if the product has disassembled. -
Never use feeding teats as a soother.

Do not warm milk in a microwave oven as this may cause uneven heating and could scald the baby.

Only touch the locking ring of the teat in order to avoid contamination.

Do not expose the product to direct sunlight or heat.

Use only Medela original accessories to ensure the proper function.

Other food heating, ceaning, storage and use methods, different than the one recommended, have not been validated, are not applicabe and may damage the product.
Cleaning and Disinfection
Important
- The cleaning instructions below are general instructions. For country – specific regulations and guidelines, ask your Medela agent or vsit our website (www.medela.com).
- Only use drinking-quality water for cleaning and disnfecting.
- Before first use, clean and disinfect all parts (see chapter A & B)
- After each use, clean all parts (see chapter A)
- Once per day, after use, clean and disinfect all parts (see chapter A & B)
Cleaning – To clean the surfaces of the parts by physically removng milk
residues and other possible contaminants.
Disinfection – To efficiently lower the number of germs that may be
present on the surfaces of the washed parts.
A. Cleaning
• Disassemble the breast milk bottle into its individual parts.
- Rinse the disassembled parts with cold water (approx. 20 °C).
- Cean these parts with plenty of warm, soapy water (approx. 30 °C). Use a commercially available dish soap and clean soft brush.
- Rinse the parts with cold water for 10 to 15 seconds (approx. 20 °C).
- Dry the parts according to chapter C.
As an alternative to hand washing,
In case of coarse drt, rinse disassembled parts with plenty of cold water.
- Place the disassembed parts on the top rack of a dishwasher.
- Use a commercially available dishwashing detergent.
- Rinse the teat under running water after dishwashing.
- Dry the parts according to chapter C.
B. Disinfection
• Disassemble the breast milk bottle into its individual parts.
- Place the disassembed parts in a saucepan of sufficient capacity.
- Cover the disassembled, cleaned parts with plenty of water and boil for at least 5 minutes. (Ensure the parts are not in direct contact to the bottom of the saucepan.)
- Dry the parts according to chapter C.
As an alternative to boiling,
- Use Quick Clean™ micro-stream™ bags in the microwave in accordance with the instructions on the bags.
- Dry the parts according to chapter C.
C. Drying
- Allow parts to air dry on a clean, unused dish towel or paper towel
- Put the clean and dry parts in a clean storage bag or a clean environment. Do not store parts in an airtight container/bag if moist. It is important that all residual moisture dries.
Storing and thawing breast milk
Storage guidelines for freshly expressed breast milk (For healthy term babies)
Room temperature 16 to 25 °C (60 to 77 °F)| up to 4 hours is best
Refrigerator at 4 °C (39 °F ) or lower| up to 3 days is best
Freezer –18 to –20 °C (0 to 4 °F)| up to 6 months is best
Breast milk thawed in the refrigerator| At room temperature: up to 2 hours In
refrigerator: up to 24 h max.
Do not refreeze!

- Do not store breast milk in the door of the refrigerator. Instead choose the coldest part of the refrigerator (this is at the back of the glass shelf above the vegetable compartment).
- You can freeze expressed breast milk in milk bottles or Breast Milk Storage Bags. Do not fill the bottles or bags more than 3/4 full to allow space for possible expansion.
- Label the bottles or Breast Milk Storage Bags with the date of expression.
Caution
Do not thaw frozen breast milk or do not warm breast milk in a microwave or a
pan of boiling water to avoid loss of vitamns, minerals and other important
components and to prevent burns.
- In order to preserve the components of the breast milk, thaw the milk in the refrigerator overnight. Aternatvely, you can hold the bottle or Breast Milk Storage Bags under warm water (max. 37 °C).
- Gently swirl the bottle or Breast Milk Storage Bags to mix any fat that has separated. Avoid shaking or stirring the milk.
- Plastic bottles and component parts become brittle when frozen and may break when dropped.
- Also, bottles and component parts may become damaged if mishandled, e.g. dropped, over-tightened, or knocked over.
- Take appropriate care in handling bottles and components.
