  3. Press the blue Lock/Unlock button on the handle of the lid. Turn the lid in an anticlockwise direction to align the arrow on the lid with the unlock mark on the base and remove the lid.

  4. Remove and wash the sealing cap and silicone sealing of the lid in warm, soapy water. Clean the top lid with a damp, soapy cloth. Be careful not to lose the seal and the safety valve! Do not immerse the lid of the pressure cooker in water. Rinse and dry the parts thoroughly.

  5. Remove all parts and accessories from the appliance and wash them in warm water with washing-up liquid.

  6. Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance base with a damp cloth.

  7. WARNING! Never pour water inside the appliance (base) or immerse the power cord in water. Always make sure that the inner stainless-steel cooking pot is completely dry before placing it back into the body of the appliance.

  8. Check whether the appliance is ready for use, the pressure release valve and blue safety valve are clean and that the silicone seal on the top lid is correctly fitted.

  9. Although you will not need to clean the metal filter and blue safety valve after every use, you should check them regularly and clean them if necessary.
Clean the metal filter with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid. Remove the small seal from the blue safety valve on the underside of the lid, pull out the blue valve on the top and wash it in warm, soapy water. Regularly check the release nut of the pressure relief valve breather pipe. If necessary, gently tighten it again with a wrench. Re-installation of the blue safety valve into the top lid – insert the blue safety valve with the narrower side into the opening of the lid from the top side and then place the small silicone ring (1) on the valve from the underside of the lid.
WARNING! Incorrect assembly will cause the lid to leak and steam to escape!

  10. Before and after each use, check the blue safety valve and the small silicone ring, especially when washing, to prevent them from falling out and being lost.

  11. Fit the plastic condensate drip container to the back of the appliance.

  12. Fit the grease drip container to the bottom of the appliance.

  13. Regularly check and empty (even during cooking) the condensate drip container and the grease container.

NOTE: During the first few uses, you may smell “hot plastic”. This is quite normal for new appliances as the material is heating up for the first time. This phenomenon will disappear after the first few uses.

OPENING THE PRESSURE COOKER

Move the valve to “Venting” position. Grasp the lid firmly, press the blue “OPEN” button to release the top lid and turn it in an anticlockwise direction. Despite this, slight negative pressure may still build up in the pressure cooker, so you may sometimes lift the inner stainless-steel pot slightly together with the lid.

CLOSING THE PRESSURE COOKER
Before closing the pressure cooker, make sure the silicone seal is correctly fitted around the rim of the top lid and the blue safety valve is fitted. Grasp the lid firmly and turn it in a clockwise direction until you hear a click and a beep. The mark on the top lid will be aligned with the mark on the body of the pressure cooker.
The „SAUTE“ function should be used without the top lid.
Never continue cooking if the silicone seal is damaged!

NEVER COOK WITHOUT THE COOKING POT
Before placing the cooking pot into the appliance, make sure that the outside of this cooking pot is completely dry. After placing the inner stainless-steel pot into the base of the pressure cooker, rotate it slightly to ensure good contact between the inner pot and the heating element at the bottom of the pressure cooker. Check that the air release filter is clean. If it is not, clean the hole to remove the blockage. When cooking foods such as dry beans, peas or lentils, we recommend soaking them first. During cooking, these foods may foam up and increase in volume and this could cause the air release valve to become blocked. Never pressure cook apples, cranberries, rhubarb, pasta and dried soup mixes.

  • Make sure you do not overfill the stainless-steel cooking pot above the MAX PRESSURE COOK mark.
When cooking foods which foam up or increase in volume such as rice, beans, peas, lentils, dried vegetables or foods which are mostly liquids such as some soups, never fill the pressure cooker more than half full!

  • Make sure you do not overfill the stainless-steel pot for cooking rice above the MAX RICE CUP 1/2 mark.
For cooking rice, do not exceed the MAX RICE CUP ½ mark.

Never attempt to open the top lid until the appliance has cooled down and all the internal pressure has been released. If it is difficult to turn the lid, this indicates that the appliance is still under pressure. Once all of the steam has been released, the pressure will drop and the top lid will be able to rotate easily.

HOW TO USE THE APPLIANCE FOR PRESSURE COOKING

Read the “IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS” section before you start cooking and always check that the appliance is correctly assembled. In order to pressure cook, the “stainless-steel cooking pot for pressure cooking” must be used. If you attempt to use the basket for heating with hot air, the error message “POT” will appear on the display and you will not be able to continue cooking until you insert the “cooking pot for pressure cooking”. If the lid is not properly fitted and closed, the display will show the error message “LID” and you will not be able to continue cooking until the lid is properly closed and secured. If no mode is selected or started, the pressure cooker will beep and shut off automatically.

  1. Place the appliance on a dry and flat surface.
  2. Grasp the lid firmly and turn it in a clockwise direction until you hear a click and the mark on the top lid is aligned with the closed mark on the body of the pressure cooker.
  3. Move the valve to the “Sealing” position.
  4. Select the appropriate cooking type preset button on the control panel, adjust the cooking time and pressure (High/Low) or cooking temperature if necessary.
  5. Start the cooking process by pressing the “START/PAUSE” button.
  6. When the appliance is heating, air may be released around the black air release valve. As soon as the pressure cooker is properly pressurised, the top lid locks against opening and starts the cooking time countdown.
  7. During cooking, you may sometimes notice steam being released by the blue safety valve or black air release valve. This is OK.
  8. It is also OK if you hear the pressure cooker heating up and shutting off during cooking to check the pressure in the pressure cooker.
  9. Once the cooking time has elapsed, the appliance will beep, the display will show “00:00” and switch to the “KEEP WARM” mode if this mode was switched on before cooking started. If “KEEP WARM” mode was not switched on, the appliance will beep once cooking has ended and the display will show “END”.
  10. After the pressure has completely reduced on its own, or after you have quickly reduced it yourself by turning the valve to the “Venting” position, you will see that the blue safety valve in the top lid is in the lower position. Carefully turn the top lid in an anticlockwise direction and lift it straight up so that the residual liquid drips into the pressure cooker.
  11. WARNING: steam or hot liquid may cause burns.
  12. When you have finished cooking, unplug the power cord from the mains socket and then from the appliance.
  13. Allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning.
    • Turning the steam release valve “Venting” is optional if you are combination cooking. See “RELEASING PRESSURE” section for more details.
    • Steam may escape from the appliance during cooking until it cools down and there is a risk of scalding.

Strong vertical leakage of hot steam may occur during cooking or when the top lid is opened. Be careful!
RELEASING PRESSURE

  • Quick release of pressure
This method is used when cooking vegetables, seafood and other delicate foods. When the cooking time has elapsed, press the “STOP” button and immediately move the black valve lever to the “Venting” position. You will hear steam escaping and the pressure will be released within 2 to 3 minutes The reduction in pressure will also be visible on the blue safety air release valve, which will be in the lower position.

  • Slow release of pressure
Spontaneous reduction of pressure is used when cooking foods such as meats, soups and cereals. After the cooking time has elapsed, leave the black valve lever in the “Sealing” position. The appliance will cool down slowly and the blue safety valve will move to the lower position.
While the appliance is pressurised (the blue safety valve is in the upper position), do not lean over it as hot steam may escape.

MANUAL MODE

Used to manually programme the pressure level and cooking time according to your favourite recipe or preferences. Setting your own cooking time is ideal for cooking meat or poultry weighing more than 1.5 kg.

    “Venting” position.

  13. Open the appliance and lift the top lid straight up so that the residual liquid drips into the pressure cooker.

SLOW COOK
Due to the nature of slow cooking, the meat will not brown as if cooked in a pan or oven. It is not necessary to fry meat or poultry before Slow Cooking, but you can do so if you like the meat better this way. Frying minced beef, bacon and sausages before “SLOW COOKING” may be desirable if you want to remove excess fat from the meat. Avoid opening the pressure cooker during slow cooking as this will cause significant heat and steam loss. If you have to open the pressure cooker despite this, do so as quickly as possible. Some foods such as carrots, potatoes and beets take longer to cook than meat, so cut them into smaller pieces before adding them to the meat.

  1. Place the food in the stainless-steel cooking pot.
  2. Close the top lid by turning it in a clockwise direction.
  3. Cooking is not performed under pressure, so set the valve lever to the “Venting” position.
  4. Connect the power cord to a 230 V socket.
  5. Switch on the appliance by pressing the “ON/OFF” button.
  6. The LED display will show “On”.

  10. When the cooking time has elapsed, the appliance will beep, the display will show “00:00” and the appliance will automatically switch to “KEEP WARM” mode.
  11. Open the appliance and lift the top lid straight up so that the residual liquid drips into the pressure cooker.

SOUS VIDE
Sous Vide cooking is a true culinary art! Although it is basically a very simple method of cooking, this method of cooking is often used by gourmet chefs to prepare complex dishes, varied starters and vegetables. But now you can bring five-star cooking quality to your kitchen too.

  • The thickness of meat, poultry and fish determines the cooking time. After removing the food from the bag, use a thermometer to check that a safe internal temperature has been reached.
  • Food safety is always a priority during handling of food and cooking. If you are not sure whether your food has been cooked correctly, add 30 minutes of cooking time to safely pasteurise eggs or poultry.
  • Frying after cooking gives the food a crispy texture. Once the cooking process has ended, pour some oil into a hot pan and quickly fry the cooked meat for 30 seconds on each side.
  • Vegetables will cook more quickly when cut into thin small pieces.
  • Fruit can be cooked using Sous vide to prepare toppings, purées, syrups and more. Cook for 2 to 2½ hours at 70°C and leave to cool in the plastic bag before use.
  • Always use BPA-free vacuum bags when cooking food.
  1. Vacuum pack foods into bags of a suitable size.
  2. Place the food in the stainless-steel cooking pot.
  3. Add enough water to the pot to ensure your food is fully submerged and place the sealed bag in water which is at room temperature.
  4. Close the top lid by turning it in a clockwise direction.
  5. Cooking is not performed under pressure, so set the valve lever to the “Venting” position.

“Venting” position. When you have finished cooking vegetables and seafood, use the quick steam release to prevent the food from overcooking.

  15. Open the appliance and lift the top lid straight up so that the residual liquid drips into the pressure cooker.

Unlike other pressure cooking functions, the appliance operates at full power during the “STEAM” programme. This high power can burn the food if the food is in direct contact with the bottom of the inner pot. Therefore, please use a steaming rack, a metal basket or a glass/ceramic container which fits inside the inner pot.

YOGURT
Use pasteurised milk to make home-made yoghurt. If you use unpasteurised (fresh) milk, heat it to a temperature of 70 to 80°C before preparing the yogurt and then cool it quickly to a temperature of 40 to 45°C, checking the temperature with a thermometer.

  • If you use fattier milk, the resulting yogurt will be thicker.
  • Use high-quality unsweetened yogurt which contains real live cultures.
  • To ensure a high-quality result, we recommend using very clean, ideally sterilised pots, kitchen utensils and cups. This will ensure that undesirable organisms do not multiply in the milk.
  • For easy preparation and handling, you can use TESLA yogurt making pots and a TESLA silicone strap.
  1. Add 2 to 3 spoons of yoghurt to 1 litre of lukewarm milk at a temperature of 40° and mix thoroughly.

  2. Place the mixture in the stainless-steel cooking pot, or TESLA yoghurt making pots.

  11. Once the cooking time has elapsed, the appliance will beep and the display will show “END”.

  12. Open the appliance and lift the top lid straight up so that the residual liquid drips into the pressure cooker.

DELAY
Use this function to delay the start of cooking. We do not recommend using this function for perishable foods such as meat or fish if they are left at room temperature for several hours without further processing. The texture of cooked rice may become soft due to a longer soaking time, or it may burn more easily. Porridge, oatmeal, foamy and sticky foods are also not suitable for this function as they can clog the safety valve.

  1. Follow the instructions for adding food, adjust the cooking time, temperature or pressure for whichever programme you are using.
  2. Select the chosen cooking programme, set the cooking time, temperature or pressure
  3. Press the “DELAYED START” button. A time will appear on the display.

  6. “DELAY” cannot be used with the “SAUTE” and “YOGHURT” programmes.

KEEP WARM
This mode is the default setting which is switched on for all pressure cooking functions except for
“SOUS VIDE”, “YOGURT”, “SAUTE” and programmes for hot air. If you want to switch off the “KEEP WARM” function, press the “KEEP WARM” button after selecting the cooking programme and the indicator light will switch off.
Once cooking has ended, the appliance will switch to “KEEP WARM” mode, the “KEEP WARM” button will light up and the food will stay warm for up to 24 hours after cooking has ended. Press the “STOP” or “KEEP WARM” button to end this mode.

HOT AIR
The fryer works on the principle of heating using hot air.

  • Do not fill the basket with oil, frying fat or any other liquid.
  • Do not place anything on the fryer.

The “basket for heating with hot air” must be used for cooking with hot air. If you attempt to use the “Stainless steel cooking pot for pressure cooking ”, the error message “POT” will appear on the display and you will not be able to continue cooking until you insert the “Basket for heating with hot air”. To prevent overheating, the appliance fan runs for approximately 40 seconds once cooking is paused or stopped. If no mode is selected or started, the appliance will beep and shut off automatically.

  1. Insert the “Basket for heating with hot air” into the base, then place the assembled grease filter in it and the stainless-steel stand or frying basket.

TROUBLESHOOTING

What does it mean when the display shows “E3” and the appliance stops working?| The appliance has overheated. You have probably used it for pressure cooking with little or no liquid. If this occurs, disconnect the appliance and allow the pressure cooker to cool slowly for about 10 minutes. Then open the appliance, add liquid, programme it

and start cooking again.

---|---
What does it mean if the display shows

“E1”, “E2”, “E4”, “E5” or “E6”?

| E1: sensor error, E2: circuit short-circuit, E4, E5:

switch error, E6: sensor short-circuit.

What does it mean if the display shows “POT?| You have inserted the wrong pot in the appliance, replace it.
Due to dirt, the sensor of the inserted pot may jam in the lower position, check and unlock this sensor, which is located at the bottom of the pot under the

inner container.

Sometimes during pressure cooking, I notice beads of moisture forming in the area of the pressure valve. Sometimes I

hear a sound that sounds like steam

| These phenomens are normal and can be expected as part of pressure cooking.
escaping before the timer starts counting down the time for food preparation. Am I

doing something wrong?

|
---|---
I accidentally pressed the wrong button and the appliance will not let me press the correct button. What can I do?| Press the “STOP” button. This will allow you to start again and press the correct button.
When I tried to adjust the time, it didn’t change. What am I doing wrong?| Press the “STOP” button and start again by selecting the desired settings and adjusting the time as required.
I can see steam escaping from the top lid. Why?| You forgot to fit the silicone seal, the blue safety valve or the black pressure valve on the top lid. If any of these parts are not in the right place,

pressure will not build up and the appliance may be

damaged.

I can hear steam escaping from the quick release valve and the pressure in the

pressure cooker is not increasing. Why?

| The quick-closing valve is in the “Venting” position. This valve must be in the “Sealing” position to ensure

pressure and seal the appliance.

I can hear and see steam escaping from the pressure or blue safety valve. Why?| Even though everything is assembled correctly, there may be a safety pressure release during cooking, this is fine.
The cooking time is not changing. Why?| The appliance has not yet reached operating pressure. The countdown starts when the operating pressure for the selected type of cooking is reached. The total cooking time may therefore be slightly

longer.

The top lid is sometimes difficult to open. What is causing this? What should I do?| If the cover is difficult to open, there may still be pressure in the pressure cooker. Open the pressure valve to the “Venting” position. Check that the blue safety valve in the upper lid of the pressure cooker

has dropped to its lower position.

Sometimes my food isn’t ready after the programmed time. When I try to put the top lid back on the pressure cooker to cook the food longer, the top lid will not close. How can I close it?| Allow the appliance to cool down slightly. When the appliance is still hot, the warm air in the appliance builds up pressure, the blue safety valve rises and prevents you from closing the top lid. Make sure the pressure valve is in the “Venting” position before placing the top cover back on the appliance. Once the top cover is closed, move the lever to the “Sealing”

position.

What can be done if the food prepared in

the appliance has more liquid than required?

| After removing the top lid, press the “Frying” button

and let the excess liquid evaporate. The next time you cook the same recipe, you can use less liquid.

The food is not fully cooked.| Load smaller batches of food into the removable

inner basket. If the basket is overloaded, food may not cook properly.

Increase the cooking temperature or time.
I think I am cleaning the equipment

thoroughly, but sometimes I notice that the

| The sealing ring under the lid is made of silicone.

Silicone has a lot of great properties and

smell of my last meal has remained in the pressure cooker. What am I doing wrong?| unfortunately one of them is its tendency to retain odours. Over time, any odour will dissipate.
---|---
Does the display not light up when the appliance is plugged in?| Make sure your power cord is properly connected and try other power sockets.

RECIPE – example of cooking soup
This appliance is ideal for preparing delicious soups. If you add dry beans and peas to the soup, don’t forget to soak them first.
WARNING! Do not pressure cook soups containing barley, rice, pasta, grains, and dried soup mixes as they tend to foam up and could block the air release valve. These foods should not be added to the soup until after pressure cooking.

FOR COOKING SOUP AND STEWING, FILL THE PRESSURE COOKER TO NO MORE THAN HALF ITS VOLUME.
