SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT: Read these instructions carefully before use, and save them for future reference. Save the original packaging if possible – it is the best way to protect the product when it is not in use. These instructions should be enclosed with the product if it is sold or passed on.

  • Only intended for outdoor use.

  • Always respect the minimum of free space permitted around the product.

  • Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate. Only connect the product to an earthed power point that complies with the rules and regulations for the place in question and which is protected with an RCD with a tripping current of 30 mA.

  • Only use the product as it is intended to be used -for the heating of terraces etc. The product must not be used to dry textiles, for commercial purposes, or for heating buildings, greenhouses, or stables etc.

  • Handle the product with care and do not subject it knocks and blows.
    Do not use an extension cord or power strip unless absolutely necessary. If an extension cord or power strip is used the cross-sectional area of the wires and the rated current must be dimensioned for the power supply to the product. If an extension cord is used on a reel, pull out the full length of cord.

  • Pull out the plug when the product is not in use.

  • Switch off the product and pull out the plug before cleaning and/or maintenance.

  • Do not pull the power cord to pull out the plug.

  • Place the power cord so it cannot be exposed to damage or stress, severe bending, sharp edges, or contact with hot surfaces. stops working properly.

  • Do not dismantle the product or attempt to repair it yourself. Repairs carried out by unauthorised or unqualified personnel will invalidate the warranty.

  • The manufacturer cannot accept liability for any damage resulting from unauthorised repairs or modifications.

  • This product can be used by children from 8 years of age and by persons with physical, sensorial or mental disabilities, or persons who lack experience or knowledge, if they are supervised or receive instructions concerning the safe use of the product and understand the risks involved. Keep children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the product.

ASSEMBLY

  1. Place the bottom part of the stand on the foot plate so that the screw holes are opposite each other. Screw the stand to the base plate from underneath. Put the cover in place over the screw joint (the cord retainer must be removed temporarily).
  2. Undo the screws in the larger stand tubes.
  3. Fasten the stand parts to each other with the screws.
  4. Unscrew the retaining screw on the back of the heating element and unscrew it almost all the way from the bracket. Put the heating element on the top post. Fasten with the retaining screw. Firmly tighten the screw. The screw must be screwed all the way into the post – it must not stick out.
  5. Pull out the full length of the stand. Tighten the lock ring and fix the height of the stand with the screw.

Use

Positioning

  • The infrared heater must be placed at least 100 centimetres from the nearest wall. The control panel must be at least 30 centimetres from the ceiling and 180 centimetres above the ground.
  • The infrared heater must be placed on a firm and level surface.

HOW TO USE

WARNING: The infrared heater does not have a thermostat and emits heat at a constant rate when in use. For this reason do not leave the heater unattended when in use.

NOTE: Check before use that all connections are firmly tightened and that the heater is correctly and safely positioned.

  1. Point the heating element in the required direction.
  2. Plug the plug into a power point.
  3. Use the power switch to start and switch off the heater and to select the power mode.
    • Mode O = Off
    • Mode 1 = Low, 1000 watt
    • Mode 2 = High, 2000 watt
  4. Pull out the plug from the powerpoint after use.

MAINTENANCE

NOTE: Switch off the heater and make sure that it is not connected to the mains before cleaning.

  • Clean the heater with a damp cloth, or use a mild detergent. Do not use strong or abrasive detergents.
  • Clean behind the grille:
    • Undo the four small screws in each corner on the back of the heating element and carefully lift off the grille.
    • Carefully remove dust and debris with a soft brush. Do not blow with compressed air-this can damage the lamp and reflector.
    • Replace the grille and screw tight.
