ELECTRIC BLANKET

Introduction

To get the most out of your new electric blanket, please read this instruction manual before use. Please also save the instructions in case you need to refer to them at a later date.

The appliance is double-insulated and therefore does not require an earthed connection.

Special safety instructions

  • The electric blanket must not be used by children or persons who are particularly sensitive to heat, or who cannot get out of bed unaided. The electric blanket must not be used with pets.

  • The electric blanket must not be used in wet or humid environments. The electric blanket must not be used by persons who wet the bed.

  • The electric blanket can only be used under a sheet. It must not be used on futon beds, folding beds, adjustable beds, water beds and the like, where the cord or control unit may become trapped.

  • The electric blanket must not be folded tightly when placed into storage.

  • The electric blanket must not be placed under a mattress, cushion or pillow or hang over the side of the bed.

  • Only clean the electric blanket as described in this manual.

  • The electric blanket must be fully unfolded prior to use. The electric blanket must not be used if it is wet, damp, folded or creased.

  • Do not use safety pins to keep the electric blanket in place.

  • Not for use by children under 3 years old.

Use

  • Fully unfold the electric blanket.
  • Plug the electric blanket’s plug (2) into a mains socket.
  • Switch the electric blanket on low, medium or high heat by pushing the button (4) on the control unit (3) to position I, II or III. The indicator light (5) comes on and the electric blanket heats up.
  • To avoid overheating the electric blanket will automatically switch to the lowest heat setting after an hour of use.
  • Turn the electric blanket off and unplug it once you have fi nished using it.

Cleaning and maintenance

Unplug the control unit from the socket on the electric blanket. Wash the electric blanket by hand in mild soapy water at max. 30 °C and for a max. of 15 minutes. Rinse in clean lukewarm water.
Allow the electric blanket to dry completely and reconnect the control unit before using the blanket again.
Note! The electric blanket must not be ironed or dry-cleaned!
