NEEWER NL-288ARC 45W 2.4G Flat Panel Light

This is our newly designed ultra-thin LED soft light, designed with 144 warm color temperature LEDs (3200k) and 144 cold color temperature LEDs (5600k). The technology incorporated into the unit ensures an even distribution of light to diffuse beautiful, soft light for any setting. The light can be pivoted at various angles to cater for your individual shooting requirements and is adjustable in both brightness and color temperature. It can be powered by a llthium battery, which is perfectly adapted for both indoor and outdoor photography. For added convenience, a 2.4G wireless remote control is included allowing you to set the channel and group for multi light control.

Installation Notes

The product can be installed on all 1/4″ screw brackets and adapters on the market, or you can install the product on a fixed bracket with an intertace diameter of less than16 mm by using an adapter

Option1: Mount the product by attaching using the 1/4 screw hole, turning clockwise to secure

Option 2: Attach the product to the fixed bracket using the adapter

1. Rotate counterclockwise to remove the light body fixing knob and install the adapter on the bottom of the product.
2. Re-use the same knob to attach to the bracket and turn clockwise to secure.
3. Attach the supporting bracket to the adaptor and turn the knob clockwise to lock in place.
4. Tum the angle adjustment knob to adjust the angle of the panel light.

Instructions for use

Power up the panel light
Option 1: Insert a compatible battery into the battery compartment to power the device.

Option 2: Use the power adapter to power the device. Plug the adapter connector into the panel light power input hole and the other end into a mains power supply.

Turn the panel light on/off.

1. When using a battery power supply, press the “I” side of the power switch to turn the panel light on. This power source will be detected and displayed on the power screen.
2. When using the power adapter as a power source, press the “II” side of the power switch to turn on the panel light.
3. Turn the power switch to “O” to turn off the panel light.

Adjust the color temperature and brightness.

1. When the device is turned on, turn the color temperature adjustment knob to adjust this setting. Turn the knob clockwise to raise the color temperature; counterclockwise to lower.
2. Turn the brightness adjustment knob to change this setting. Turn it clockwise to increase brightness; turn counterclockwise to decrease.

Group and channel settings

1. Turn the device on and press the mode button. The group and channel value will flash continuously.
2. Turn the brightness adjustment knob to select the group. There are 3 groups: A, B, and C.
3. Turn the color temperature adjustment knob to select channels. There are a total of 40 channels.
4. After selecting, press the mode button. The group and channel value will stop flashing, and the setting is stored. The value will also stop flashing after 10 seconds of inactivity.

Instructions for remote control

Basic use of the remote control

1. Slide the battery cover in the direction of the arrow on the remote control. Insert 2 x AAA batteries into the battery compartment respecting the positive and negative polarity, and then replace the cover.
2. Hold the ON/OFF button of the remote control for 1 second. The display screen will light up to indicate that the remote control is turned on.
3. After 15s of inactivity, the backlight of the remote’s display will go out. Press any button to wake up the device.
4. To turn off the remote control, hold the ON/OFF button for 1 second.

Channel and group settings of the remote control

1. When the remote control is turned on, the first time you press the CH/GRP button, the group value will flash on the screen. Pressing the button a second time will cause the channel value to flash.
2. When the group value is flashing on the screen, press the”+” or” -” buttons to select the group. There are 4 groups in total: A, B, C, and ABC.
3. When the channel value is flashing on the screen, press the”+” or” -” buttons to select the channel. You can select any channel between 1-40.
4. After setting all the values, press the ON/OFF button. The group and channel value will stop flashing to indicate the setting is stored. The value will cease flashing after 10s of inactivity.

Controlling the panel light using the remote control
Having checked that channel and group settings of both the panel light and the remote control match up, press the remote control ON/OFF button. The screens will display the color temperature value on both the LED panel 1 ight and remote control. Press the button again. The color temperature value of the remote control and the panel light display will show “OFF” . The panel light will be turned off and in standby mode. Press the remote control ON/OFF button again. The remote control and the panel light display will show their default settings and the light will tum on. Control the brightness and color temperature of the panel light using the remote control.
Please ensure that the channel settings of the remote control are the same as those of the panel light and make sure both devices are turned on.

1. Press the”+” or”-” buttons on the remote control. The brightness level will increase in increments of 1 %. Long press the”+” or”-” buttons to increase or decrease the brightness in increments of 5%.
2. Press the remote control SET button. The color temperature value of the remote control display will flash. Press the”+” or”-” button on the remote control. The color temperature will increase or decrease by lO0K. Long press the”+” or·-” buttons to increase the color temperature value in increments of 200k. Press the SET button again to stop the value from flashing.
3. When adjusting any settings using the remote control, the settings of the panel light are also changed.

Notes on using the remote control

1. The group and channel settings of the remote control must be the same for the remote to pair and work successfully.
2. The remote control has an operating range of 20m
3. After turning off the panel light using the remote control, please turn off the power manually if you do not intend to use the panel light for a long period of time.

Battery Use Warnings

1. Please use good quality, branded batteries. Poor quality, after-market batteries may cause the product to fail or result in damage to the unit.
2. Please store and transport the product and battery separately.
3. If the light emits smoke or a peculiar smell during use, please turn off the power and remove the battery immediately.
4. Please do not short-circuit the battery or disassemble it,
5. Please turn off the power before replacing the battery.
6. Please do not expose the battery to an open flame or high temperatures.
7. Please do not immerse the battery in water.

Safety Notes

1. This product does not include a stand or battery. Please purchase separately.
2. Do not drop the product, or subject it to any form of impact.
3. Please refrain from looking directly at the light during use to avoid damage to eyesight.
4. Do not block the ventilation holes. By doing so, the internal temperature will increase which may result in a fire or other hazard.
5. Do not place the product near flammable and explosive materials.
6. Do not use the product in the rain or in a humid environment.
7. When not in use, turn off the power and remove the battery..
8. If not to be used for an extended period of time, the product should be placed in a ventilated, dry place – away from heat and magnetic fields.
9. Wait for the product to cool down before putting it in a carry case to prevent any residual heat from causing damage to the LEDs.
10. When cleaning the product, do not use strong detergents such as thinner, gasoline and alcohol. These are likely to remove the protective layer of the product’s finish.
