**Precautions
**
Points to observe for safe usage
Read this manual carefully before using this item and its components. They
contain instructions on how to use this product in a safe and effective
manner. Caliber Europe BV cannot be responsible for problems resulting from
failure to observe the instructions in this manual.
Turn off the device immediately in case of a problem.
Failure to do so may cause personal injury or damage to the product. Return
it to your authorized Caliber Europe BV dealer for repair.
**Product cleaning.
**
Use a soft dry cloth for periodic cleaning of the product. For more severe stains, please dampen the cloth with water only. Anything else has the chance of dissolving the paint or damaging the plastic.
Temperature.
Ensure that the ambient temperature is between 0°C and +45°C before turning
on the device.
**Maintenance.
**
If you have problems, do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. Return it to your Caliber Europe BV dealer for servicing.
Placement.
Place the product on a flat surface. Provide enough space around the
product for sufficient ventilation.
Heat.
Do not locate the appliance in the vicinity of a heat surface or in direct
sunlight.

Below are the descriptions of the features/options of the HCG021 and HCG022. The number between the “(…)”refers to the key or connections on the device. The illustrations can be found in the front of this manual.
Connection and clock set
- Plug the adapter into a 100-240V AC outlet. Use the provided power cable; plug the USB side into the adapter and the other side into the DC-input of the device.
- The electronic clock will turn on and the clock shows u0:00″ on the display and will switch to date and than temperature indication to indicate that it’s not set correctly.
- Press and hold the [TIME] button (2) for 3 sec. to enter the ‘date and time setting wizard’. Use the +/- buttons (5/6) to change values and press again to continue to the next setting.
– 24HRS will flash on the screen. Choose 12/24HRS display. Press again to go
the next step (next step is indicated in the manual with >)
– Set the hour > minute > year > date (month,day)
– When the display returns to the set time, the wizard is finished and the
time and date are set.
Alarm setting
This product features convenient dual alarms. Each alarm function can be
set independently.
Setting the alarm time
- Press and hold (3) for 3 sec. to enter the ‘alarm setting wizard’. Use +/- to change values and press for the next step
- Set the hour for alarm 1 > set minute for alarm 1 > set snooze time for alarm 1. (5-60 min. or — OFF)
- Set the hour for alarm 2 > set minute for alarm 2 > set snooze time for alarm 2 (5-60 min. or — OFF)
- Single press to activate alarm 1, alarm 2, both alarms, or no alarms and no surprises
- The alarm indicators (9 and 10) will tell you which alarm is active when it is lit.
When the Alarm sounds, you can either:
- Snooze, alarm 1 will blink, letting you know snooze is active (snooze time can be altered while setting the alarm time)
- Push any other button while the alarm sounds to turn OFF the alarm, the alarm will sound again the next day
- To turn OFF the alarm for the next day, press multiple times until the indicator is no longer lit
- The alarm will stop after one minute and will sound again the next day
Note:
– If a later alarm sounds when the earlier alarm is in snooze, the
later alarm will take priority and cancel the snooze function of the earlier
alarm automatically.
Display (Auto) Brightness
- Short press /z² to change the brightness (3 steps)
- Press and hold /z² to turn ON/OFF ‘auto brightness’ ****
Display modes
- Short press the + [plus] button to change the display mode.
Dl: Displays time for Losec, the date for 2 sec and temp for 2 sec. You can
switch to date or temperature on demand, using the button. After 15sec. the
display will continue to show the D1 program.
D2.Fixed display mode. Change the display between time, date or temperature
using the button. The display will continue to show one of these without
switching.
D3.Always displays time, short press O to show the date. Press again to show
the After 15 sec. the display will switch back to show the time.
Shut down
Press the – [minus] button to toggle SD (shut down) ON/OFF. When ON, the
display will shut down after 15 sec.
**Temperature
**
The temperature can be displayed in °C Celcius or °F Fahrenheit
- Make sure the temperature is displayed on the screen. To display the temperature short press fl until it shows the temperature.
- Short press + [plus] to toggle between °C or °F
USB Charging
Charge your devices
Connect the standard size end of a USB cable (not included) to the USB
charging port on the unit and connect the other end to the charging port of
your mobile phone or USB device.
Note:
– Use provided adapter only! The unit contains one USB port with 1A
charging power.
Back up battery
Insert 1 CR2016 battery (included) into the battery compartment. In the
event of a power interruption or if unplugged, your time settings will be
saved for a short period of time.
Note: The alarm clock does not work on batteries only
