INSTALLATION
Prior to installation, read instructions all the way through and determine
room placement.
NOTE: Be sure to include the additional width of the posts and mounting
plate dimensions when determining placement.
MOUNTING THE POSTS
-
Verify that the first post is positioned in the desired location. Mark the floor where the holes will be drilled.
-
Using a 3/8″ masonry drill bit, drill a hole approximately 3″ deep into the floor.(See Figure)
-
Clean out debris and dust from inside the hole, and fully insert anchor bolt through the mounting plate and into the hole.
-
Tap down the anchor bolt with a hammer. Slide a washer onto the anchor bolt. Using a 17 mm wrench, tighten the hex nut until the anchor bolt is secure. Repeat for the remaining anchor.
ATTACHING PANELS TO POSTS
-
For a straight run, end to end, use straight bolts and flat washers. (See Figure 2) Use a 13 mm wrench to tighten.
NOTE: Safe installation requires two people.
-
For a 90° corner, use curved bolts and lock washers. (See Figure 3)
-
Attach the opposite end of the panel to the second post.
ATTACHING HINGED DOOR TO POSTS
-
Mount door to post. Doors swing outward, away from the enclosure.
NOTE: If mounting a 10′ hinged door, attach a 2′ filler panel before mounting the door. (See Figure 4)
a. If anchoring on the existing post, proceed to part b. If anchoring on the opposite post, use the door width to determine the proper mounting distance and install the opposite post. Take care to measure post to post. Too large of a gap will prevent the door from functioning properly.
b. Align a door with a post where it will be mounted. Attach the hinges using the six short self-tapping screws provided and the nut driver.
NOTE: Use a screw gun with an adjustable clutch, and take care not to over tighten and strip the threads. DO NOT USE IMPACT-TYPE GUNS.
NOTE: Holes for door and strike plate are not pre-drilled. Apply pressure with self-tapping screws to puncture the post. -
Install strike plate. Close the door and align the strike plate with the door latch. Attach strike plate using the two long self-tapping screws provided and nut driver. (See Figure 5)
-
Attach handle to door using the provided handle and bolts. (See Figure 6)
ATTACHING THE ROOF
-
If assembling a four-sided room, proceed to step 2.
a. Mount wall brackets. The top of the wall bracket should be level with the top of the wall panels. (See Figure 7)
**NOTE: When assembling wall brackets on a two-sided room, brackets will overlap in the corner. (See Figure 8)
** -
If assembling an 8 x 8′ room, proceed to part C.
a. Using beam connector, bolt-together two roof beams. Using a 15 mm wrench, fully tighten bolts. (See Figure 9)
b. Using a 12 mm wrench, tighten screws on the beam connector. (See Figure 10)
c. Using provided bolts, attach roof beam to posts on the mounted room. Thread bolts the outside of post into the pre-threaded roof beam. Fully tighten bolts. (See Figure 11)
-
If using a four-sided room, proceed to step 4.
a. If mounting roof beam towards the wall, utilize the included beam bracket. (See Figures 12-13)
-
Set roof panels in place and secure.
a. Use longer bolts when attaching roof panels to the top of mounted wall panels. (See Figure 14)
b. Use shorter bolts when securing roof
panels together. (See Figure 15)
NOTE: Hand-tighten all bolts until the
roof is fully assembled. Fully tighten all bolts.
