What is aptX?

AptX® enables you to wirelessly listen to CD quality audio. When your device is
equipped with aptX, it is no longer necessary to use the entire bandwidth to transmit
music via Bluetooth. A Bluetooth connection is a sort of data pipeline between different
devices. This pipeline only has a maximum width and therefore it can sometimes be
difficult to send large music files through it. AptX solves this problem by reducing the
size of the music files being sent wirelessly via Bluetooth. The files can be sent through
the wireless pipeline without affecting the quality of the files. This allows you to use
aptX to listen to CD quality music anytime, anywhere.
