MATERIALS
- LION BRAND® SCARFIE (Art. #826) #235 Rust/Cameo 1 ball
- LION BRAND® knitting needles size 9 (5.5 mm)
- LION BRAND® large-eyed blunt needle
GAUGE
16 sts = about 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every st on every row).
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.
NOTE
Scarf is worked in one piece, back and forth in rows, alternating stripes of
Garter st (k every st on every row) and St st (k on RS, p on WS).
SCARF
Cast on 24 sts.
Section I
Work in Garter st (k every st on every row) for 4 rows.
Beginning with a RS (knit) row, work in St st for 6 rows.
Rep 10 rows of Section I for 3 more times.
Section II
Work in Garter st for 30 rows.
Work in St st for 6 rows.
Rep 10 rows of Section I twice.
Rep 56 rows of Section II until piece measures about 60 in. (152.5 cm) from
beg, ending with the last row of Section II.
Work in Garter st for 4 rows.
FINISHING
Weave in ends. Block to measurements.
