OPERATING AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Make sure drain seal is the correct size. For best results, use a drain seal that is 6″ larger than the outside of the grate.
APPLY DRAIN SEAL
- Remove all stones, branches or other debris from the object being covered.
- Remove plastic film from drain seal and keep it to re-apply before storing.
- Place drain seal over drain, grate or manhole that needs to be sealed.
- To gain a faster seal, stepping on drain seal may be necessary. Never attempt this after spill has reached the drain.
DECONTAMINATE DRAIN SEAL BEFORE REUSE OR STORAGE
- Wash drain seal and its plastic film in warm water with a non-abrasive detergent or petroleum solvent cleaner.
- Dry both drain seal and plastic film with a cloth and re-apply the plastic film to the drain seal.
- Using the tube provided, roll up drain seal and place it back in the container for storage.
- Store drain seal out of direct sunlight and at room temperature.
NOTE: Never allow drain seal to be in contact with itself for long periods of time.
NOTE: Drain seal will become less flexible if stored in cold temperatures.
NOTE: Due to the nature of softer urethane, the physical properties of these products may change with exposure to certain environmental conditions like temperature, humidity and UV radiation. Please inspect the stored product regularly to ensure it is in a usable state.
NOTE: Drain seal is not intended for long-term outdoor use (more than two hours), as UV exposure and/or heat for extended periods can degrade the product.
- Will cause drain seal to swell temporarily but not degrade.
