Read this instruction manual carefully before using the appliance.
It contains important information for your safety as well as for the use and maintenance of the appliance. Keep these instructions for future reference and pass them on to possible new owners of the appliance.

  1. WARNING! Use the appliance only for its intended purpose and as described in this manual. Improper use may result in an electric shock, fire or serious injury and may void the warranty.
    In the event of improper use or incorrect operation, we do not accept any liability for resulting damages.

  2. This appliance is intended for indoor use only and not for commercial, industrial or outdoor use.

  3. This appliance is intended to be used in households and similar applications such as:

    • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
    • farmhouses;
    • by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments;
    • bed and breakfast type environments.
  4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children under the age of 8) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Cleaning, plugging in the appliance and maintenance should not be carried out by children unless they are older than 8 years old and supervised.

  5. WARNING! Always supervise children when they are near the appliance and keep it out of their reach. The appliance is not a toy.

  6. Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in operation.

  7. Never touch the appliance or plug with wet hands or when standing in water, or if any part of the appliance is wet.

  8. WARNING! To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use the appliance near a body of water such as a swimming pool, bathtub, vase or pond, or in humid environments such as a damp basement. Always keep the appliance at least 6.6 feet away from water. Do not place the appliance next to a window or expose it to dripping or splashing water. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid or place it under running water (see CLEANING AND CARE).

  9. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after a malfunction, or if dropped or damaged in any manner. If
    the appliance, cord or plug are damaged in any way, do not use the appliance and contact the retail outlet, the manufacturer, or an authorized service center.

  10.  Do not use the appliance with an electrical extension cord or multi-plug as they increase the risk of a fire / electric shock.

  11. Always unplug the appliance from the mains outlet when it is unattended, not in use, when moving the appliance and before cleaning.

  12. Place the appliance on a flat, dry and stable floor surface. Do not place on a carpet, uneven surfaces, tables or shelves. The appliance could cause serious injury if it tips over. Make sure that the appliance is placed in a location where it cannot be easily knocked over.

  13. Before first use, make sure the power voltage matches the information on the appliance rating label.

  14. Do not under any circumstances attempt to dismantle or repair the appliance For servicing and repairs, contact the retail outlet, the manufacturer, or an authorized service center.

  15. Do not operate the appliance in the presence of explosive and/ or flammable fumes.

  16. Do not operate the appliance or any parts near open flames, explosive and/or flammable fumes/materials (such as curtains, textiles or walls), or next to cooking or other heating appliances

  17. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter.

  18. Do not place the cord under soft furnishings such as carpets, rugs, throws or runners, furniture or appliances. Arrange the cord in a location where it cannot be easily caught on or tripped over.

  19. Make sure the power socket is easily accessible at all times.

  20. To disconnect the appliance from the mains, grip the plug and pull it out from the wall outlet. Do not pull the cord.

  21. Do not operate the appliance if the fan housing is not properly fixed in place, has been removed or is damaged.

  22. The use of accessories or fittings other than the original parts supplied is not recommended as it may result in an injury, fire or damages and will void the warranty.

  23. After cleaning, ensure the appliance and parts are completely dry before using it again.

  24. RISK OF SUFFOCATION! KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN – Keep all packaging materials out of the reach of babies and children.

  25. Do not operate the appliance outside of the ambient temperature range 32°F to 104°F (0°C to 40°C).

  26. This appliance is classified as Class II. The appliance has reinforced insulation and is not required to be electrically earthed.

WARNING! To reduce the risk of a fire or electrical shock DO NOT USE the appliance with any SOLID STATE SPEED CONTROL DEVICE.

POLARIZED PLUG

The appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MODIFY THIS PLUG OR ATTEMPT TO DEFEAT ITS SAFETY FEATURE IN ANY WAY.

POWER SUPPLY

WARNING

  1. Keep new and used batteries out of children’s reach.

  2. Do not leave batteries lying around; there is a risk that they could be swallowed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.

  3. Leaking or damaged batteries can burn skin. Use a cloth or protective gloves to remove the batteries. If you do get battery acid on your skin, wash with soap and water immediately.
    Neutralize with lemon juice, vinegar, or other mild acid.

  4. If battery acid gets into your eyes, consult a doctor immediately.

  5. RISK OF EXPLOSION: Batteries cannot not be reactivated, disassembled, burned, buried, or short-circuited. Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries. Only charge rechargeable batteries that are intended for this purpose; use suitable rechargeable battery chargers.

  6. The batteries must be replaced correctly using an identical or equivalent battery.

  7. Do not expose batteries to heat sources such as sunlight or naked flames. Keep at room temperature.

  8. If the battery compartment does not close correctly, stop using the appliance and keep it out of children’s reach.

  9. Remove the batteries when you are not using the appliance for a long time.

  10. Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  • Unpack and remove all packaging materials from the appliance.
  • Check for damage that may have occurred during transport.
    If any parts are damaged or missing, do not use the appliance and return it to your retail outlet immediately.

ASSEMBLING THE BASE

WARNING! Always unplug the appliance before assembly or disassembly.

  1. Slot the two halves of the base together.

  2. Turn the fan upside down. Put the base onto the fan making sure the two protruding circular parts on the bottom of the fan slot into the two larger holes on the base. Fix into place using the 4 screws provided.

  3. Turn the fan upright.

SETTING UP THE REMOTE CONTROL
Pull the plastic film from the battery compartment.

Operating the remote control: Point the remote control at the infrared sensor making sure there are no obstacles. The remote control range is 5 meters (16.40 feet).

CHANGING THE BATTERY

  1. Push the release button inwards and pull the battery casing out. Remove the old battery.

  2. Insert 1 x CR2025 3V battery ensuring you follow the polarity (+ and -) marked on the casing.

  3. Slide the battery casing back into the remote control until you hear it click into place.

WARNING: Do not expose the infrared sensor to direct sunlight or
other strong light, such as a florescent light.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: The remote control buttons are the same as the control panel buttons.

  1. Place the fan on a dry, level and stable surface.
  2. Insert the plug into a 120 V AC / 60 Hz outlet. The power indicator light will turn on.
  3. Press the POWER button to turn on the fan. For a few seconds the fan will be at medium speed and then it will change to low speed.
  4. Press the SPEED button repeatedly to select the fan speed. The speed level indicator lights will illuminate next to the selected option.

  5. The timer can be set to turn off the fan in 1 to 3 hours time.
    Press the TIMER button repeatedly to select the time. The indicator lights show the selected time as follows: Indicator light icon| Time

  6. Press the OSCILLATION button to swing the fan through 70 degrees. The oscillation indicator light will turn on. Press it again to stop the fan oscillating. The oscillation indicator light will turn off.
  7. When you are not using the fan, press the POWER button (the power indicator light will turn off), and unplug the appliance to disconnect it completely from the power supply.

CLEANING AND CARE

  • WARNING! Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the wall socket. Never immerse any part of the appliance in liquid or spray water on it. Make sure liquids never get into the electrical parts of the appliance.
  • Do not use solvents, chemical or abrasive cleaning agents, wire brushes, sharp objects or scouring pads to clean the appliance.
  1. Clean the fan regularly to ensure product longevity.
  2. Wipe the exterior with a slightly damp, soft cloth.
  3. Dry thoroughly.

STORAGE
Store the appliance upright in its original packaging or in a dustfree, dry environment.

DISPOSAL

Proper disposal of this product.
