PHASE 1 – ASSEMBLY

SETUP

Unpack components; compare with the bill of materials.

Identify the Assembly and Installation fastener bags.

PHASE 1 – ASSEMBLY

PARTITION ASSEMBLY

Attach the lower panel and mounting track to the upper panel.

Attach the sides of the upper panel and lower panel together on both sides.

PHASE 2 – INSTALLATION

TIPS ON HOW TO ATTACH A PLUSNUT

Attach the plusnut using the plusnut gun.
TIPS: Put the plusnut on the plusnut gun, then attach the plusnut in the hole by turning the gun forward until the plusnut locks, then remove the gun by turning in reverse.

Attach the plusnut using the 6490 plusnut tool.
NOTE: The hardware used for the 6490 plusnut tool is not included in the fastener bag.

  • 7/16″ Socket
  • 9/16″ Wrench

TIPS STEP 1:
Assemble the 6490 plusnut tool with the hardware needed, plusnut and the 9/16″ wrench as shown.

TIPS STEP 2:
Attach the plusnut in the hole by turning the bolt forward using an impact with a 7/16″ socket until the plusnut locks, then remove the bolt by turning the impact in reverse.

PHASE 2 – INSTALLATION

VEHICLE PREPARATION

Removing handle.
NOTE: If you are installing a Composite Partition and your Promaster City is supplied with an oversized sliding door handle, this handle must be removed in order for the door to close properly.

Removing overhead plastic.
NOTE: There are two types of covers. (White Covers – Without OEM partition, and Black Covers – With OEM partition)

PHASE 2 – INSTALLATION

CONTOURED PARTITION INSTALLATION

Attach J – shapes and the floor brackets in the van.

Installation 01

Lift the assembled partition in the van, then bolt both sides of the partition in the van.

Installation 02

Attach the upper and lower panels to the J – shapes and floor brackets.

Installation 03

Apply the warning label on the upper panel.
