Preparation

One smartphone or tablet PC with 1OS 8.0 or Android 4.0 operating system or higher (This model’ does not work with a Mac or Windows PC)


Wi-Fi Router
  • This device does not support 5.0Ghz and will only connect to a 2.4Ghz WiFi router
  • Make sure the DHCP on your router is turned on and the MAC address turned off
  • During initial configuration, this device should be within 3 meters of your router
  • Don’t use any special characters when you name your router. English only.
  • Don’t use any special characters for the WiFi password and the password cannot be left blank. English only
lnstall “WeHome” App
  • Search for the “WeHome” App in the Apple Store or Google Play, then download and install it on your phone or iPad.
  • Scan the QR Code below and install the App.

Operation Instruction

  1. Remove the waterproof cover on the back of the device.

  2. Switch it from [OFF] to [ON], and replace the waterproof cover over the slot.

  3. If you see the red indicator light blinking, then the operation has already begun.

Configure Device

Open the “WeHome” App.

  1. Click”+”

  2. Click “LinkBell”

  3. Check if device’s red led is blinking, please click “Red led is blinking”.

    WARNING
    • If no red led is blinking, please switch off and turn on again.
    • Using the supplied reset pin, press the RESET button on the back of the device for more than 3 seconds. You will hear a sound and see That the red indicator blinks. {Please note that all your data on the device will be reset to default)

  4. Scan the QR code sticker on the back of the unit’s housing.

  5. Input the right password of the WiFi.
    Note: some WiFi passwords on some routers are case sensitive. Make sure you input it 100% correctly.

  6. Create a password for the device. Write it down somewhere so you do not forget it.

  7. Wait for approx 3 minutes for configuration to complete.

    Align your smart phone or tablet PC to within 10cm of the device.
    Turn the volume of smart-phone or tablet PC to maximum.

  8. Name the device
    If configuration failed:
    • Make sure you inputted the correct Wi-Fi password (check the capital & small letters and no spaces).
    • Be sure the surrounding environment is quiet while you do the configuration.

How to watch a video

If the video displayed is stuck or slow , please re-start the App . If it is still stuck or slow , please re-start your wifi router and take device to close to router within 5 meters.

How to mount your doorbell

First way to Setting up : If you don’t plan to break the smooth wall (like as glass , tile wall ,metal surface wall) , it suggested to use 3M stickers in packaging to fasten bracket , and installing the device.

  1. Stick the double-sided 3M stickers on the bracket.

  2. Tear off the protective film on the 3M stickers, apply it on a smooth wall surface at the appropriate height. Hang the device on the bracket from top down lining up the hole at back of device. Tighten the screw on the bottom of the unit to the bracket.

Method #2: If you want install the device on a rough wall (such as concrete, brick or a wooden surface), use screws to fix the bracket.

Charge Your Doorbell

  • Loosen the screw at the bottom of the doorbell and remove the doorbell from bracket. You will hear the alarm sound for approx 1 minute.
  • Take the device inside for charging. Using the supplied micro USB cable, connect the device to a 5V/2A USB power adaptor and allow the unit to charge for a minimum of 4 hours. (For convenience, you can use the USB adaptor of your mobile phone)

  • Q1: Does LinkBell need to connect DC Power Supply?

    No, doesn’t . It is 100°/o wireless . LinkBell powered by 5000mAh Li- battery.
    It can last 6~8 months for normal use. Also it can powered by micro USS cable.

  • Q2: How long is it working time with one full charge?

    6-8 months working time according to your wifi conditions, basic 15seconds per trigger , 10 triggers per day.

  • Q3: Does LinkBell support remote live streaming?

    Yes, it supports . It needs a strong network connection.

  • Q4: How many viewers can watch video via LinkBell at the same time ?

    Three users can view at the same time , one user can speak.

  • Q5: How about the safety of LinkBell?

    Linkbell uses P2P communication technology, so any video or picture won’t be stored in the service platform. There is an encrypted tunnel for transfer between Linkbell and your smart phone. We suggest you change default username and password on the App when you start to use it.

  • Q6: Which Smart phone version does LinkBell App supports?

    The App supports iOS 8.0 and above, android 5.0 and above.

  • Q7: What do I do if I cannot receive video call?

    Re-start the WeHome App after you reboot your smart phone to keep the App working in the background.

  • Q8: What do I do if I forget the password?

    Reset the Linkbell (press the reset button for more than 3 Seconds. You will hear a sound and see the indicator blinks red. Then re-configure it. Be advised that all data on device will be reset to default.

  • DO NOT use counterfeit or inferior-quality batteries in the LinkCam Wirefree cameras. Only use high quality batteries from, established, well-known manufacturers, such as Panasonic®, Energizer®, or Duracell® .
  • DO NOT store batteries with hazardous or combustible material. Store in a cool , dry, ventilated area. While your Linkbell doorbell is weatherproof and safe to use outside, DO NOT allow the batteries or battery compartment to get wet prior to or during installation.

ALWAYS keep batteries away from children.

REPLACE ALL batteries at the same time with batteries of the same type purchased at the same time from the same manufacturer and DO NOT load batteries backwards. MAKE SURE the battery compartment is empty and free of any loose debris before inserting batteries. Follow the directions in the quick start guide and/or written on the Linkbell doorbell.
