• This feeder is only suitable for indoor use. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• This feeder is suitable for cats and small to medium-size dogs.
• Do not use the feeder for any other use other than intended.
• Shield or tie the power cord to prevent pets from biting and damaging the cable. Failure to do so could cause serious harm or even the death of pets.
• This feeder is only suitable for dry food.
• Do not put anything other than dry pet food into the feed hopper. Failure to do so may cause malfunctioning of the feeder.
• If any parts of the feeder and power cord are damaged, stop use immediately and contact help.Kogan.com for assistance.
• Use of the other accessory attachments not recommended by Kogan.com may damage the feeder and cause injuries to users.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Adult supervision is required when the feeder is operated by or is operating near children.
• Do not let children play with the feeder.
• Never leave the feeder unattended while in use.
• Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table, counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not immerse the cord and plug into water or any other liquid.
• Do not submerge the feeder into water or any other liquid.
• Do not place the feeder on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
• Do not disassemble or modify the feeder yourself.
• To prevent the feeder from being hit or damaged by pets, it is recommended to place the feeder in a corner or against the wall.
• The pet food’s shape and density will cause deviations in the feed hopper’s capacity and the feeding unit’s dispensing quantity.
• After filling the feed hopper, portion size may not be consistent in the first dispense. It is recommended to calibrate the feeder manually. To manually calibrate, click the feeding button until the food is dispensed at an equal quantity.
• Unplug the feeder from the power socket when not in use. Allow the feeder to cool before disassembling and before cleaning the feeder.

OVERVIEW

OPERATION

1. Connect the Micro USB cable into the Micro USB port at the bottom of the feeder. Connect the other end of the Micro USB cable to a 5V, 2A AC adapter (not included). Plug the adapter into a power socket.
   

2. Slide the bowl under the feeder’s food outlet.
   

3. Press the lid release button to lift the lid.
   

4. Press the lid release button to lift the lid.
   

5. Press down on the lid to close.
   

6. Press the feeding button to release pet food. The default quantity released is one portion, but this can be customised through the SmarterHome™ app.
   

Food status LED

• When the feeder is powered on and the food status LED is off, this indicates the feed hopper is at least 20% full.
• When the food status LED is blinking red, this indicates this indicates the feed hopper is less than 20% full.
• When the food status LED is showing a solid red light, this indicates the feed hopper is empty and requires refilling.

Power bank slot
A power bank can be used as a backup to power the feeder. The dedicated slot located at the back of the feeder has dimensions of 175 x 70 x 30mm.

CONNECT TO SMARTERHOME™ APP

Install App
Download the “Kogan SmarterHome” app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).

Register
If you do not have a Kogan SmarterHome™ account, register or sign in with a verification code sent by SMS.

To register:

1. Tap to enter registration page.

2. The system automatically recognises your country/area. You can also select your country code manually. Enter your email address and tap ‘Next.’

3. Alternatively, you can select ‘Register by mobile number’ and enter the verification code sent to you by SMS.

4. Create a profile on the next page to define your location and room.
   
   Set device in pairing mode
   When the device is first turned on, it may automatically enter pairing mode (the Wi-Fi indicator LED will be flashing).
   If not automatically in pairing mode when powered on, you can manually set the device in pairing mode by pressing and holding down the feeding button until the Wi-Fi indicator LED is flashing.

5. Once registered, tap “ + ” in the upper right corner of the app’s home page to add a new device through the network.

6. Select the product type from the list of options in the app (Other > Smart Pet Feeder with Camera).

7. Ensure that the device is in pairing mode, with the Wi-Fi indicator LED flashing, and tap “Confirm light is flashing”.
   

8. Upon successfully confirming pairing mode, enter your Wi-Fi details. It is important
   that your SmarterHome™ device and the app are connected to the same Wi-Fi
   network during setup.

9. Tap “Continue”. The mobile phone will display a QR code. Hold the feeder 20 to 30
   cm in front of the mobile phone for the camera to scan the QR code.

10. Tap “I Heard a Prompt” when you hear an audio notice from the feeder.

11. The device will commence the pairing process and connect to the app. Ensure your Wi-Fi router, mobile phone, and the SmarterHome™ device are kept close until connection is complete.

12. After successfully being added, you will have the option to rename the device and assign it to a location. It will now be listed on the app’s home page. Tap the device listing to enter its control page.
    

Notes:

• The device and the app have to use the same Wi-Fi network.
• The device is only compatible with 2.4Ghz networks.

CLEANING & CARE

The feed hopper can be lifted and cleaned by opening the lid.
The bowl can also be removed to be cleaned.
Both the feed hopper and bowl can be cleaned by washing with water and soap. Ensure the feed hopper and bowl are dry before placing them back into the feeder.
Do not submerge the feeder into water or any other liquid.
