Installing the lampholder

Installing

Disconnect the power to the lamp. Screw the DiO lampholder onto the lamp socket and install the bulb on the DiO lampholder.
Caution: Do not use the DiO lamp holder on a lamp with a completely closed shade or a closed ceiling light on top.

Linking the lampholder with a DiO 1.0 device

This product is compatible with all DiO 1.0 devices: remote control, wireless wall switch, and motion detector, as well as with the DiO home automation control unit, to control it with a smartphone or by voice (via a Google Home or Amazon Alexa smart speaker).

2.1. Linking the lampholder with remote control, switch, or DiO 1.0 detector

  1. Connect your DiO lamp holder into the socket of your lamp or ceiling light and install an E27 bulb.
  2. Bring the remote control (or DiO switch, sensor) close to the lampholder.
  3. Within 6 seconds, press the ‘ON’ button on the remote control, wireless switch, or DiO detector, the lamp will flash twice to confirm the association.

Warning: If you do not press the ‘ON’ button of the device within 6 seconds, the lamp holder will exit learning mode. You must switch off your lamp for 6 seconds and then switch it on again to put the lamp holder back into learning mode.
The lampholder can be linked with up to 32 different DiO devices. If the memory is full, adding the 33rd device will delete the 1st device added

2.2. Linking the lamp holder to the DiO hub

Link your lampholder to your DiO Smart Home main unit to control your lighting with your smartphone and create your scenarios, for example, to switch on or off your lighting at a specific time or simulate someone being at home while you are away. Please refer to your main unit manual to add the module.

Deleting a DiO 1.0 device

  1. Switch off the lamp or ceiling light for at least 6 seconds and then switch it on again.
  2.  Press the ‘OFF’ button of the command to be deleted within 6 seconds, the lamp will blink twice to confirm the deletion.

Use

ON/OFF function: Press the “ON” (“OFF”) button on your DiO remote control to turn the lamp on (off ).

Troubleshooting

  • The lighting does not come on when pressing the remote control or switch, or when the detector is activated:
  • Check that the lampholder has been installed correctly in the lamp socket.
  • Check the polarity of the battery (ies) in the device and/or that they are not depleted.
  • Check that the switch of your lamp or ceiling light is on.

Important: A minimum distance of 1-2 m is necessary between two DiO receivers (module, socket, and/or bulb). The range between the module and the DiO device may
be reduced by the thickness of the walls or an existing wireless environment.
Warning: Do not use it in a damp location.

The logo shaped like a waste bin indicates that this product must not be disposed of with household waste in any EU country. To prevent any risk to the environment or human health due to uncontrolled scrapping, recycle the product in a responsible manner. This will promote the sustainable use of material resources. To return your used device, use the return and collection systems, or contact the original dealer. The dealer will recycle it in accordance with regulatory provisions.
