1. Create your My Chacon account

  1. Download the free My Chacon app from the iOS App Store, or from Google
    Play for Android.

  2. Create an account by following the instructions in the app.
    Note:
    The Chacon Wi-Fi timer socket is also compatible with the DiO one app, so you can use that App instead of My Chacon.

Plug it into your Wi-Fi network

  1. In the application, select “My devices”, click “+” and then select the “Plug” device”.
  2. Plug in the Chacon plug into the main plug and press the plug pairing button for 3 seconds, and the LED indicator flashes red.
  3. Within 3 minutes, click “Install the Wi-Fi device” in the app.
  4. Follow the installation wizard in the application.

Note:
If the automatic Wi-Fi installation fails, please use the Alternative mode method to add the device to the application. Check your app for more info.
In case the Wi-Fi network or password changes, press the pairing button for 3 seconds, and in the app press long in the device icon. Then follow the instruction in the application to update the Wi-Fi.
If you want to use the device in another account, please perform a factory reset (see paragraph 4).

Install your device

  1. Plug your lamp or device into the Chacon timer plug.
  2. Set the device switch to “On”.

Luminous states of the plug

  • Off or steady blue: Socket off/on
  • Medium red flashing: Regular configuration procedure, pending
  • Fast red flashing: Regular configuration procedure, in progress
  • Very slow red flashing: Alternate configuration procedure, pending
  • Medium red flashing: Alternate configuration procedure, in progress
  • Steady red: Configured, cannot reach Wi-Fi- Blue flashing: Configured, cannot reach the Cloud
  • Fast blue flashing: Firmware update – Violet flashing: Press long enough for a factory reset
  • Fast red flashing: Factory reset in progress

Resetting the plug

To reset the plug to its factory settings:

  1. Press the button on the plug and hold for at least seven seconds.
  2. Ensure the led blinks in purple before releasing the button.
  3. When released, the led blinks red for a short time to confirm the reset was done.

Use

With your smartphone via the My Chacon app:

  • Switch on or off from anywhere
  • Create a programmable timer: set to the exact minute and select the day(s) of the week, with a one-off or repeated timer.
  • Create a countdown the plug switches off automatically after the allotted time.
  • Simulate a presence in your home when you are away

Voice control:
Control your device or lighting with your voice by combining the Chacon plug with your Google Home or Amazon Alexa smart speaker. On the Google Home or Alexa application, download the One 4 All skill.
On the plug:
Enable/disable the plug by pressing the button on it once.

Troubleshooting

The plug does not appear on the application interface, or the device/lighting does not switch on or off:

  • Check the luminous state of the plug:
  • Steady Red LED: check the status of the Wi-Fi router.
  • Flashing blue LED (for more than three minutes): check the Internet access.
  • Make sure the Wi-Fi and Internet connection is operative and that the network is within range of the plug.
  • Make sure that the Wi-Fi is on a 2.4-GHz band (it does not work at 5 GHz).
  • When configuring it, your smartphone must be on the same Wi-Fi network as the plug.
  • The plug can only be added to one account. A single My Chacon account can be used by all the members of a household.

Recycling
In accordance with European WEEE directives (2002/96/EC) and directives concerning accumulators (2006/66/EC), any electrical or electronic device or accumulator must be collected separately by a local organization specializing in the collection of such waste. Do not dispose of these products with ordinary waste. Check the regulations in force. The logo shaped like a waste bin indicates that this product must not be disposed of with household waste in any EU country. To prevent any risk to the environment or human health due to uncontrolled scrapping, recycle the product in a responsible manner. This will promote the sustainable use of material resources. To return your used device, use the return and collection systems, or contact the original dealer. The dealer will recycle it in accordance with regulatory provisions.
