Specified Conditions of Use

The heater may only be operated indoors where there is protection from moisture.
This device is only intended for heating in private households. It is not suitable for commercial or industrial purposes.
This product is only suitable for well-insulated rooms or occasional use.
When using the device, the respective local building and fire protection regulations, the appropriate electrical safeguards, and the specifications from the German Employers’ Liability Insurance Association must be observed. Do not install the device in rooms at risk of explosions and fire.
The apparatus is not intended for drying of clothing or for installation under benches or in floor trenches.
Do not use the device in animal husbandry or animal breeding.
Never set up the device on long-pile carpets.
Do not use this product in any other way as stated for normal use. Not observing general regulations in force and instructions from this manual does not make the manufacturer liable for damages.

For electric local space heaters, the measured seasonal space heating efficiency ηs cannot be worse than the declared value at the nominal heat output of the unit.
Warning  Read all safety warnings and all instructions.   Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.

Safety instructions for electric heater

The product is designed for use by persons aged 16 or older. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given super-vision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Children are not allowed to carry out cleaning or user maintenance unless under supervision. Children younger than 3 years must be kept away from the apparatus unless under constant supervision. Children aged between 3 and 8 years are not allowed to switch the apparatus on or off unless under supervision or after instruction on its safe use, including awareness of potential hazards, provided also the apparatus is positioned or installed as for normal  use. Children aged between 3 and 8 years shall not plug in or operate the apparatus or clean it and/or carry out user maintenance. Cau-tion – certain parts of the product may get hot enough to cause burns.
Particular caution is called for if children and persons requiring protection are present. The heater may not be set up immediately underneath a wall socket. Set up the device in such a way that the mains plug can be accessed at all times. Do not use this heater in immediate proximity to a bath, shower or a swimming pool. The controls must not be touched by a person who is under a shower, with a container that is filled with fluid, or in the bath. Never operate/touch the device with wet hands. Do not use this heater with a program switch, a time switch, a separate remote control system or any other device that automatically switches the heater on, as there is a risk of fire if the heater is covered or set up incorrectly.

CAUTION! To prevent the danger of inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out relay, the apparatus must not be supplied via an external contactor such as a timer switch or be connected to a circuit that will automatically switch on and off.

Caution! A damaged cord of this apparatus must be replaced by the manufacturer or his customer service or a similarly qualified person, to prevent hazards. Flammable materials should be kept at a safe distance of at least 1 meter from the apparatus. Do not use or store explosive or flammable materials (e.g. fuel, paper, paints) in the vicinity of the product. Keep a safe distance of a minimum of 2 meters for persons, children, animals and flammable objects to the front of the housing, and approximately 60 cm to all other housing surfaces. It must always be ensured that air can be taken in and vented freely. The devices may not be used in atmospheres that contain oil, Sulphur or salt.
Do not set up in rooms at risk of fire (e.g. wood sheds).

Warning: To prevent overheating, never cover the heater with anything.

Danger of burns!
The heater’s front/protective grille gets very hot during operation.
Always pull the mains plug when the heater is not in use.Do not tug at the cable to unplug the appa-ratus. Check the power cable for damage before use. Do not use the heater if the cable is damaged.
Keep the heater clean. Protect the electrical parts from moisture. To prevent electrical shock, never submerse these parts in water or other fluids during cleaning or when in operation. Never hold the apparatus under flowing water. Switch off the apparatus, disconnect it from mains by unplugging and allow it to cool down before setting up, retrofitting, cleaning, performing maintenance, storing or transporting the apparatus.
Switch off the device and disconnect it from the power supply before replacing accessory parts, cleaning work and if it is not in use. Do not put foreign objects in the device.

Mains Connection

Operation is only allowed with a safety switch against stray current (RCD max. stray current of 30mA).
Not suitable for installation on fixed electrical cables.
Only operate the heater when the mains cable is fully rolled out.

Operation

After you have read and understood the safety instructions, you may commission the device.
Place the electric heater in the center of the room if possible, or at least 1 meters away from the wall to achieve optimum heat distribution. The air circulates better as a result, and the room warms up more quickly. All windows and doors should remain closed.

  1. Put the mains cable into a suitable socket. Make sure that your mains network is appropriately fused.
  2. Set the desired power with the power setting controller.
  3. To switch off the electric heater, set the power setting controller to the fan position for 3–5 minutes. The device can then be switched off or unplugged.
  4.  After switching off the device, the fuel rods continue to emit heat. Let the device cool down before storing it.

An unpleasant smell may be produced when the device is used for the first time in some cases. This is however completely harmless and will disappear completely over time

MAINTENANCE

Unplug the machine before any work on it.
Repairs and works specified in these Instructions may only be performed by qualified authorized staff.
Use only original accessories and original spare parts.
Always keep the device clean, as well as the ventilation slots in particular. Never spray water on the device body!
Do not clean the plastics with solvents, flammable or toxic fluids. For cleaning, use a damp cloth only.
Only a regularly maintained and treated appliance can serve as a satisfactory aid. Insufficient maintenance and care can lead to unforeseen accidents and injuries.

Warranty

Warranty period of 12 months applies to commercial use and 24 months applies to private use and commences on the day of purchase of the device.
The guarantee solely covers inadequacies caused by material defect or manufacturing defect. Original payment voucher with the sales date needs to be submitted for any claim in the guarantee period.
The guarantee does not cover any unauthorized use such as appliance overloading, use of violence, damage as a result of any unauthorized interference or caused by foreign items. Failing to follow the operating and assembly instructions and common wear are also not included in the guarantee.

Important information for the customer

Please note that returns within or outside the warranty period should always be in the original packaging. This measure effectively avoids unnecessary transport damage and any associated disputed ruling. Your equipment is optimally protected only in the original box, and keeping it in that box will ensure smooth processing.

Transport packaging disposal

The packaging protects the machine against damage during transport. Packaging materials are usually chosen based on environment aspects and waste treatment principles and are therefore recyclable. Re-turning the packaging into material circulation saves raw materials and reduces waste production. Parts of packaging’s (e.g. foils, styropor®) can be dangerous for children.
Do not dispose of electrical appliances in household waste; use the local collection points. Ask your local authority where the collection points are to be found. If electrical equipment is disposed of in an uncontrol-led manner, weathering can lead to dangerous sub-stances entering the groundwater and from there the food chain, or the flora and fauna can be poisoned for years. If you replace the device with a new one, the seller is legally obliged at the least to take back the old one to be disposed of free of charge.

Risk of suffocation!
Keep parts of the packagings out of reach of children and dispose them as soon as possible.
