  • Do not talk or move body during measurement.
  • Make sure to dry forehead & clear any excessive hair which may cause inaccurate reading.
  • The infrared sensor must be kept clean, dry, and undamaged to ensure accurate results.
  • External factors may influence forehead temperatures, particularly when the individual has been:
    • Exposed to very hot or cold temperatures.
    • Recently exercised, bathed, or other physical exertion as this increase’s temperature.
  • Ensure the thermometer is correctly placed before taking the reading. Reference the sections below for how to best position the thermometers for each reading method.
  • Use of this device is not intended as a substitution for consultation with your physician. Measurement results are for reference only. Contact your physician if you have or suspect and health concerns.

Forehead Temperature

Forehead results will display from 89.6 °F to 109.2 °F (32.0 °C to 42.9 °C). ‘HI’ is displayed for all results above 109.2 °F (42.9°C), and ‘LO’ is displayed for result below 89.6 °F (32.0°C).

  • Ensure the unit is in ‘forehead mode’. In the upper left-hand corner, there will be an icon of a head. If you do not see the head icon in the upper left-hand corner, press and release the ‘MODE’ button to switch mode until the correct icon displays on screen.
