Getting Started
Before Getting Started
  1. Ensure you have access to your email to verify your MOBI Smart Account.
  2. Have your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Network Name & Password ready

Account Setup

Register

If you are a first time MOBI Smart user, please create an account.

  1. Open the MOBI Smart App & tap “Register.”
  2. Agree to the Privacy Policy terms & conditions.
  3. Enter a valid email address & tap “Get Verification Code.”
  4. Enter verification code & create a password.

Find Health Profile

After logging in/registering create an optional Health Profile for yourself or (if you are a caregiver) for your patient/loved one.
To access your health profile, tap the “Account” tab and tap on your user profile/name

Creating A Health Profile

Once in the Health Profile, fill in all the patient information and medical data, such as health conditions and medications.
Note: Optional Professional Monitoring services can provide basic information to EMS in the event of a disp

Contact Setup

If you’ve purchased a Professional Monitoring subscription service, you can add up to 4 Emergency contacts that can be reached in the event of an emergency.
Emergency Contacts can be changed and edited at any time.

MOBI Hub Setup

MOBI Gateway Hub

The MOBI Gateway Hub is a plug-in, ZigBee Wi-Fi device that syncs the MOBI Alert Button to your MOBI Smart account.

  • The blue light indicates power.
  • The flashing red light indicates that the device is searching for a signal
Adding your Hub

Once you’ve setup your MOBI Smart account & have powered on the MOBI Gateway Hub, move on to adding the device

  1. Tap “Add Device” or tap on the “+” icon on the top right hand corner.
  2. Select the MOBI Gateway Hub icon that will appear on the screen.

  1. Enter your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi name & password.
  2. Tap “Next” to confirm.

Note: This product only connects to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signal.
If you cannot identify your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Network, please contact your Internet Service Provider.

Reset your Hub

After selecting the MOBI Hub icon, you’ll be prompted to reset your device.
Note: If the red LED Indicator is already blinking rapidly, you do not have to reset your hub.
Press & hold the reset button for 5 seconds. Then release & observe the LED indicator, and tap “Next” to confirm.

Connecting Gateway Hub to Wi-Fi

After tapping next, the MOBI Smart app will display your connection status.
Note: If your connection times out, your mobile device may be connected to a 5GHz Wi-Fi Network.
Please check your W-Fi name + password, and try again.

Connection Success

Once connected, you may rename your device for easier management, or edit at a later time.
Tap “Done” to be taken to the Hub controls.
Note: After the Hub has successfully been added, it does not need to be reinstalled if disconnected from power.

HELP Button Setup

Syncing MOBI Alert Button
  1. Remove the battery plastic protector slip to power on your MOBI Alert Button.
  2. A green LED indicator light should appear (for up to 5 seconds) to confirm that the device is powered on.

Once you’ve removed the battery plastic protector slip, open your MOBI Smart app.
Check to see that your MOBI Hub appears on the ‘Devices’ section and tap to open it.

Adding MOBI Alert Button to MOBI Hub

Once on the Hub’s layout screen, you can setup and manage additional help buttons.
Here you can setup & manage all ZigBee Wi-Fi devices, including additional MOBI Alert Buttons.

Reset Help Button

Tap on “Add Sub device” and follow the instructions that appear on the app.
Note: If the green LED Indicator is already blinking, you do not have to reset your device.
Once the LED Indicator is blinking, tap the confirmation button on your screen.

Linking Devices

Once you’ve tapped the confirmation button, the MOBI Smart app will automatically scan for a Help Button.
Place your MOBI Help Button close to your MOBI Hub.
Wait until the Help Button is found and tap “Done” once scanning is successful.

Success

Once you’ve successfully connected your MOBI Help Button, the MOBI Smart app will display this screen.
Here, you can rename your
Help Button for easier management or edit at a later time.

Add to Dashboard

After successfully activating Professional Monitoring Services, add your MOBI Hub and MOBI Help Button to your dashboard in order to finalize the setup process.
To access your dashboard, press the shield icon next to the “Add Device” button.

In order to add a Help Button or other Emergency Alert devices, tap “Add Device” under “Protect Devices.”
Note: If you have any devices that include a 24/7 Professional Support Monitoring subscription, you must add them to the dashboard in order for monitoring services to function.

Adding Monitoring Devices

After adding an alert device, add any monitoring devices that you want to sync with your Alert devices.
These devices can include Modicum’s, Video Doorbells, etc.

Using your Dashboard

Once your dashboard is fully setup, you can check the status of your MOBI Hubs, MOBI Help Buttons, and any other MOBI Smart monitoring devices that users can add and manage.

Help Button Use & Maintenance

How To Use Button

For best coverage, users should carry their Help Button at all times.
When in need, users can press the Help Button to alert their loved ones/caregivers.
The Help Button is intended to send out emergency alerts and/or to contact EMS when using Professional Monitoring.

LED Indicators

When pressing the Help Button, a green LED light should flash, verifying that the Help Button is connected to its Hub, and that an emergency alert has been sent.

A flashing, red LED light signifies that the Help Button is out of range or disconnected from the Hub.

In order to replace the Help Button’s battery/lanyard, users must pry open the Help Button to access the inner casing.
Using a flat object (such as a screw driver), follow the button’s ridges to pop the compartment open.

Battery & Lanyard

After the Help Button has been pried open, users can replace their batteries, and switch between a wrist and an adjustable neck lanyard for additional comfort.
Note: MOBI Help Buttons use standard CR 2032 3V coin batteries and typically need to be replaced every 6 months.

To activate your Support plan, access your Dashboard and select “Services.”
Tap on “Alarm Monitoring” to open the Service Plan catalogue and select your plan of choice.

Once you’ve selected your desired service plan, confirm your purchase.
For security measures, plans can only be purchased via PayPal.
If you do not have a PayPal account, please register an account at www.paypal.com.

Setup

Once you’ve purchased your Professional Monitoring service plan, open the Service Plan catalogue again.
The Service Plan button should now say “Set up.”
Tap on set up and revise your settings.

Managing Settings

Once on the Set up tab, users can modify their Professional Support Options, such as:

  • Add an (optional) alarm Security Code
  • Update Emergency Contact information
  • Update Location information for EMS dispatch

Security Pass Code

A Security Pass Code is a 4- digit lock that Emergency dispatch requires from Emergency Contacts in order to disarm the Emergency Alarm.
Note: Disarming the Emergency Alert will prevent an EMS dispatch.

Other Settings

The Emergency Contact and Location Information tabs will contain data imported from your Health Profile.
Emergency Contacts can disarm an Emergency Alarm via MOBI Smart app or via phone call from Professional Monitoring

MOBI Hub & Help Button Breakdown

The MOBI Smart Emergency Alert System is a simple & powerful panic/sos/alert notification system that notifies emergency contacts if a loved one requires immediate assistance.

How it works
  1. MOBI Smart app connects MOBI Hub to local 2.4 GHz WiFi Network.
  2. MOBI Hub Connects to MOBI Help Button with ZigBee Technology Wi-Fi signal.
  3. Help Button contacts Emergency contact or EMS if Professional Monitoring is active.

Connecting a MobiCam

The MOBI Emergency Alert System is a great way to keep tabs on your loved ones in the event of an emergency, and having MobiCams connected can help users have additional eyes and ears at all time.

During Activation

The MOBI Smart app will automatically display the emergency prompt, and any active MobiCams.
When a Professional Monitoring subscription is active, EMS will be dispatched unless an emergency contact disarms Emergency Alarm.

Warning! This product cannot be used as a reliable tool for EMS or 911 dispatch. This product is designed for limited monitoring

Warning! When using this product, please make sure that the product has an intact appearance and does not have any accessories missing.

Maintenance: Use a damp cloth or mild, water-based cleaner to clean this device. Do not submerge device in water. This device is not water-resistant.

Information on disposal: Electronic equipment does not belong in domestic waste but must be disposed of in accordance with the applicable statutory provision

Power Safety – When connecting your equipment to a power source:

  • Check the voltage rating before you connect this equipment to an electrical outlet.
  • Use only branded AC adapter approved for use with this device.
  • Place the AC adapter and this equipment in a ventilated area, such as on a desktop or on the floor.
  • The AC adapter and this equipment may become hot during charge operation.

MOBI® warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 90 days from the date of purchase. Should the product prove to be defective during the warranty period, we would either replace or repair the product at our option without charge. After the warranty period, a service charge will apply for replacing parts and labor costs. To obtain warranty service, you must return the product complete with its original parts & accessories and a copy of the original purchase, gift, or registry to us. This warranty does not cover damage caused by tampering, accident, misuse, abuse, improper maintenance, unauthorized modification, or connection to an improper power supply. There will be a charge for repair caused for such damage. This warranty excludes all incidental or consequential damages and any liability other than stated above. MOBI reserves the right to modify or discontinue the offer by posting a notice on the app or website.
