Ex-relevant Safety Regulations

Use of this device assumes that the operator observes the conventional safety regulations and has read and understood manual, safety instructions and certificate.
The following safety regulations must also be complied with:

Inside ex-hazardous areas the covers of all interfaces must be closed.
To ensure the IP-protection, it has to be ensured that the all gaskets are present and functional. There must be no large gap between the two halves of the housing.
The device may only be charged outside ex-hazardous areas using the i.safe PROTECTOR 2.0 or i.safe PROTECTOR 3.0 USB-cable or other equipment approved by i.safe MOBILE GmbH.
The device may only be used in Zone 1, 21, 2, 22, M1 or M2.
The device may be charged only at temperatures in between +5°C … +35°C.
The device may not be exposed to any aggressive acids or alkalis.
The device shall be protected from the exposure of oils, greases and hydraulic fluids
The device must be protected from impacts with high impact energy, against excessive
UV light emission and high electrostatic processes.
Accessories like SD card type IS-SD164.1 and IS-SD1128.1 may be used.
SIM cards which comply with the intrinsic safety entity parameters, may be used in the corres-ponding slot in the hazardous area.
