The CMX-FMCH003 extender set is designed for high-quality 4K AV extension over Single Mode or Multimode fiber (SFP+ dependent) with very minimum latency. The compact size of the units allows for greater flexibility during installation. The product supports all HDMI 2.0 formats including multichannel PCM, Dolby True HD, and DTS HD master audio. It is ideal for A/V extension without RF interference, long-distance data and video transmission, household entertainment, lecture halls, meeting rooms, classrooms, and point-to-point secure video conference.

System Requirements

• HDMI source equipment such as a media player, video game console, PC or set-top box
• Compatible fiber-based receiver
• IEEE 802.3ae compatible SFP+ fiber module supporting a dual-optical fiber connection style, such as LC, or a pre-terminated crossover dual-optial fiber cable

Operation Controls and Functions

Front Panel:

• Power LED: This LED will illuminate to indicate the unit is on and receiving power
• System LED: This LED will illuminate to indicate that the system is stable and ready to process audio/video streams
• Video LED: This LED will illuminate to indicate that the video source is stable, and streaming is in process
• HDMI IN / OUT Port: Connect source such as media player, game console or set-top box to HDMI in; connect a display or projector to the HDMI out.
• SFP Port: Insert a standard SFP+ module and connect the appropriate optical cable to allow data transmission.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Connect the HDMI source equipment (media player, video game console, PC or set-top box) to the HDMI IN port of the transmitter unit.
2. Connect the HDMI out port of the transmitter unit to the display or projector using an HDMI cable.
3. Insert a standard SFP+ module into the SFP port of both the transmitter and receiver units.
4. Connect the appropriate optical cable to the SFP port of both the transmitter and receiver units.
5. Connect the USB ports of the transmitter and receiver units using a Mini-B USB cable.
6. Connect the 10GbE LAN ports of the transmitter and receiver units using an SFP+ cable or a pre-terminated crossover dual-optial fiber cable.
7. Connect the power adapter to the DC power input of both the transmitter and receiver units.
8. Turn on the HDMI source equipment and the display or projector.
9. The Power LED of both the transmitter and receiver units should illuminate to indicate that the units are receiving power.
10. The System LED of both the transmitter and receiver units should illuminate to indicate that the system is stable and ready to process audio/video streams.
11. The Video LED of both the transmitter and receiver units should illuminate to indicate that the video source is stable, and streaming is in process.
12. The audio and video signals should now be transmitted over the fiber optic cable with very minimum latency.
