UltraPro 60837 Escape Color-Changing Flex Light

Quick Start Guide

Congratulations on your new UltraPro Escape Color-Changing Flex Light! This product is designed to provide your space with high-quality lighting. Combine with additional UltraPro Escape Flex Lights to form one continuous string up to 120ft. in length!
IMPORTANT: Before installation, please read all the warning statements included at the bottom of these instructions. Save these instructions for later use.

SETUP

  1. Carefully unpack the flex light from the box and remove the binding tape.
  2. Before installing, plug the light into an outlet to ensure it works properly. Remove the plastic pull tab on the remote to test IR remote features. Be sure to unplug the light after testing it.

INSTALLATION

Select a mounting location that is capable of supporting the flex light and close enough for the power cord to easily reach an outlet. All screws and mounting clips are included.

  1. Mount the power supply using the keyhole tab and screws
  2. Mark the locations for each mounting clip with a pencil. Then, drill a pilot hole on each pencil marking using a 1/16in. drill bit.
  3. Attach each mounting clip using the included screws.
  4. Fit the flex light into each installed mounting clip.
  5. Plug the power cord into a 120VAC 60Hz outlet. (GFCI outlet if installing outdoors.)

INSTALLING ADDITIONAL FLEX LIGHTS

  1. Unscrew the end cap on the first flex light and slide the compression nut backwards to expose the receptacle.
  2. Insert the connector from the next flex light into the receptacle. Then, slide the compression nut forward over the new connection point and screw it securely into place.

REMOVING THE FLEX LIGHT

  1. Always unplug from power prior to uninstalling.
  2. Carefully remove the flex light from the mounting hardware without tugging or pulling.
  3. Store lights in a dry location.

IMPORTANT: This product employs fuse overload and short-circuit protection. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet and unplug any other products connected to the product. Replace the fuse following these instructions and refer to product marking for the proper fuse rating.

  1. Unplug from power. Do not unplug by pulling on cord.
  2. Slide open the fuse access cover on top of the plug towards blades.
  3. Carefully remove fuse by pushing from the other side.
  4. RISK OF FIRE. Replace fuse only with 8 Amp, 125 Volt fuse (provided with product).
  5. Close fuse cover.
  6. RISK OF FIRE. Do not replace the plug as it contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. If damaged, discard product.

OPERATION

  • Single Color Press your favorite single-color button to set the entire flex light to that color.
  • Fade The flex light will slowly fade through each color.
  • Strobe Each color will strobe from one to the next.
  • Pulse The intensity of each color will slowly increase and decrease.
  • Flash The light will blink ON and OFF through each color.

  1. DO NOT MOUNT OR SUPPORT FLEXIBLE LIGHT IN A MANNER THAT CAN
  2. DAMAGE THE OUTER JACKET OR CORD INSULATION.
  3. RISK OF FIRE AND ELECTRIC SHOCK. UNCOIL FLEXIBLE LIGHT PRIOR TO PLUGGING IN. DO NOT USE WITH EXTENSION CORD NEAR WATER OR WHERE WATER MAY ACCUMLATE. FOR USE ONLY ON GFCI PROTECTED CIRCUITS. DO NOT SUBMERGE.
  4. MATERIAL MAY BECOME BRITTLE WHEN COLD. DO NOT INSTALL WHERE IT MAY BE STEPPED ON OR SUBJECT TO PHYSICAL DAMAGE.
  5. DO NOT INSTALL NEAR FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS.
  6. DO NOT INSTALL CLOSER THAN 3 METERS FROM A SWIMMING POOL SURFACE.
  7. ALWAYS UNPLUG THIS PRODUCT BEFORE INSTALLING OR REPLACING FUSES. USE ONLY 125-VOLT, 8 AMP MAX.
  8. DO NOT COVER FLEXIBLE LIGHT AS THE COVERING MAY CAUSE THE FLEXIBLE LIGHT TO OVERHEAT AND MELT OR IGNITE.

  10. NOT SUITABLE FOR FIELD CUTTING OR SPLICING.
