Unplug machine
-
Pull out the Pre-Motor Filter Tray located below the dirt tank and remove filter
-
Wash the filter with water and a mild detergent
- Allow to completely air dry before reassembling

Remove the dirt container by pressing release button on top of handle
-
While locating container over trash bin push the empty button on back of dirt container to empty tank
-
Remove lower portion of dirt container by pressing the front and back latches on upper portion
- Clean screen with cloth or soft brush to remove debris
- Lower portion of dirt container can be washed in warm water
- Allow to completely air dry before reassembling

Make sure the Upholstery Hose is looped under the Lower Hose Clip located on the back of the machine near the foot
- If hose is not clipped in, there may be a screeching noise

If the machine continues to make a loud noise, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
