TECHNICAL DATA

USE

LIFTING

  1. Place the vehicle and jack on a level, hard surface.
  2. Apply the parking brake and chock the wheels.
  3. Place the jack at a suitable lifting point under the vehicle (see vehicle manual).
  4. Close the release valve by turning clockwise. Do not overtighten.
  5. Lift the vehicle by putting the handle in the socket and pumping up and down.
  6. Place pallet blocks at suitable places under the vehicle (see vehicle manual). Never crawl under a vehicle that is not supported with pallet blocks. The jack is not intended to support a heavy load for a long time. Do not lift and support more than one wheel at once.
  7. Open the valve slowly by turning anticlockwise and lower the load on the pallet blocks.

LOWERING

  1. Close the release valve by turning clockwise.
  2. Pump the handle up and down so that the vehicle lifts off the jack stands.
  3. Remove the pallet blocks/jack stands. Make sure that no one is under the vehicle when lowering it.
  4. Open the valve slowly by turning anticlockwise and lower the vehicle to the ground.

MAINTENANCE

Carry out maintenance every month. Lubricate the product at regular intervals. Contaminants and/or inadequate lubrication can result in malfunctioning, with a risk of serious personal injury and/or material damage. Follow the instructions below.

  1. Lubricate all moving parts with thin oil.
  2. Check the product for cracks in welded joints, leakage of hydraulic fluid, damaged, loose, worn or missing parts.
  3. Do not use the product if it has been overloaded or subjected to shock loads. Take the product to an authorised service center, or other qualified personnel, to be checked.
  4. Clean all surfaces. Make sure that the safety and warning labels on the product are complete and legible. Replace any labels that are illegible or have gone missing.
  5. Check the oil level, and top up if necessary.
  6. Check the piston for corrosion every three months. Clean when necessary and rub with an oiled rag. When the product is not in use it must always be in the fully lowered position.

STORAGE

Always store the jack in the fully lowered position. This protects important parts from corrosion. Only use hydraulic oil intended for jacks. other oils can damage the seals.

CHECKING THE OIL LEVEL

  1. Turn the relief valve anticlockwise so that the piston goes in all the way. Press down the saddle, if necessary.
  2. Place the jack flat and take out the oil filler plug. Place the jack upright with the handle fixture down. The oil should reach up to the lower edge of the filling hole. Top up, if necessary. Do not overfill. Only use new, clean oil intended for jacks.
  3. Replace the oil filler plug.
  4. Function test the jack.
  5. Bleed the system if necessary.

BLEEDING

  1. Turn the relief valve anticlockwise one turn to fully open it.
  2. Pump 8 full strokes with the handle.
  3. Turn the relief valve clockwise to close it.
  4. Pump with the handle until the piston is fully out. Pump a few more times to drive out any air.
  5. Carefully unscrew the oil filler plug a little to release the air.
  6. Open the relief valve by turning it anticlockwise one full turn and lower down the jack completely. Press down the saddle, if necessary.
  7. Turn the relief valve clockwise to closed position and function test the jack. Repeat the above steps if necessary to bleed it more.

Cause and solution

---|---|---|---|---|---
•| •|  | •|  | The release valve is not fully closed. Turn the handle clockwise.
•|  |  |  |  | Max load exceeded.
•|  |  | •|  | Air in the hydraulic system. Bleed the hydraulic syste m.
•| •|  | •| •| Low oil level, fill up with oil.
 |  | •|  |  | Too much oil in the oil container.

Drain off excess oil.

Lubricate moving parts.

 |  | •|  |  | Seizing or blocking .
