USE
COOKING
-
Measure up the required amount of rice with the supplied measuring cup. One cup of rice (0.18 I) weighs about 150 g.
FIG. 3 -
Rinse the rice several times until the water is clear.
NOTE: Do not rinse the rice in the pan, this can damage the coating or deform the bottom, which results in poor contact with the hob and reduces the heating capacity. -
Pour the rice in the pan and fill up with water to the corresponding marking. The markings in the pan indicate the water level. The markings on the right show rice in litres, and on the left in cups of rice. The markings in the pan are for guidance.
Use the right amount of water to suit your own preferences.
WARNING!
Do not fill water over the top marking.
FIG. 4 -
Wipe off any water on the outside of the pan and put the pan in the rice cooker.
FIG. 5 -
Twist the pan from side to side a little to ensure it has good contact with hob.
-
Make sure that the rice forms a smooth layer.
-
Plug in the plug. The status light COOK goes on.
-
Press the power switch to start the rice cooker. If the power switch is not pressed the status light WARM goes on after 1-2 minutes and keep-warm mode is enabled.
FIG. 6 -
When the cooking is ready the power switch clicks off. The status light COOK goes off and the status light WARM goes on.
FIG. 7 -
Leave the lid on the pan for about 15 minutes after the cooking is ready to make the rice fluffier and tastier.
-
Open the lid and stir the rice when the rice has steamed. Serve at once, or leave it to keep warm automatically.
Steaming food
-
Pour a suitable amount of water into the pan for the food to be steamed. Do not fill over the bottom of the steam tray.
-
Put in the steam tray and place the food in the tray.
-
Start the rice cooker and follow steps 7 to 11 above.
-
Switch off the rice cooker with the power switch when the food has steamed. The rice cooker automatically keeps the food warm until it is time to serve.
FIG. 8 -
Pull out the plug before serving.
FIG. 9
NOTE:
Only use the supplied ladle. Do not use sharp or metal utensils that can damage the nonstock coating.
MAINTENANCE
- Clean the rice cooker and pan with a cloth or sponge moistened with a mild detergent and wipe dry with a dry cloth. Do not use abrasive detergents or objects.
- Grains of rice and other scraps can stick to the hob. To ensure correct contact with the pan, sand the hob with fine sandpaper (grade 320) and wipe clean with a cloth.
