Fontastic BS-300 Nepto Floating Speaker

Thank you for choosing this product. The Nepto floatable speaker plays music transmitted wirelessly from an audio source. With IP67 rating, the speaker is dustproof and protected from temporary submersion to a maximum depth of 1 meter of water for a maximum of 30 minutes in clear water.

Getting started

Charging the battery

Nepto is equipped with an internal rechargeable lithium-Ion battery. Open the cover of the Micro USB port (2). Connect the Micro USB cable with the micro USB charging port (1) of the Nepto. The cable can be connected to a computer or a standard USB power adapter. The red LED of Nepto lights up while charging. The red LED turns off when fully charged. The cable can be disconnected. Close the cover of the Micro USB port.

Switching On /Off

Switch on: Press the On/Off key (6) once. The device switches on, the status LED lights up and an acoustic signal sounds. Switch off: Press and hold the On/Off key (6). An acoustic signal sounds, the status LED goes off and the device switches off.

Note: Nepto has a voice announcement, the announcements are in English and German language.

LED lighting

Nepto is equipped with LED illumination, which starts to glow with slow color change after switching on. Press the On/Off key (6) twice to increase the speed of the color change. Individual colors can be adjusted by pressing the key further.

Pairing

Nepto must be paired with a Bluetooth€9 device before use. This is a two part process; one part is carried out on the Speaker and the other is carried out on the other Bluetooth) device.

Note: Please note that different mobile phones may require different pairing methods.

  1. Switch on the speaker by pressing the On/Off button (6). It is automatically in pairing mode.
  2. Use your mobile phone, computer or another Bluetooth transmitter in order to search for Bluetooth” audio devices. 3
  3. The Bluetooth device should indicate that it has found „Nepto”.
  4. Confirm pairing with Nepto. Enter .0000- if you are asked for a pairing code.

Note: If the connection is lost or the transmitter is disconnected for a short time, turn the speaker off and on again. After switching off and on again, both devices connect automatically.

TWS Function

The TWS function allows you to connect two Nepto speakers together to out-put music through two speakers. To connect two Nepto speakers, press and hold the Start/Stop button (7) on both powered devices to enter TWS mode. The two loudspeakers are automatically connected to each other. Then pair one of the two speakers with the audio source. After a successful connection, the audio data is output via both speakers.

Attention: When first TWS pairing the loudspeakers, the Bluetooth® function of your smartphone must be switched off while the TWS connection is being set up. Activate the Bluetooth€ function after both speakers are connected via TWS. To pair the speakers and the smart-phone, follow the steps described in the „Pairing” section.

Music playback

Music playback via Bluetooth

Start music playback on the Bluetooth source which is paired with the Nepto. The music is transferred to the Nepto. Stop the music playback on the Bluetooth” source to interrupt the streaming.

Note: The device must support A2DP and AVRCP profile to play and control music over Nepto.

Music control

To play or stop music playback, briefly press the Start/Stop button (7).
To skip to the next track, press the volume + button (8).
To skip to the previous track, press the volume – button (9).

Adjusting the Volume

Press and hold the volume + button (8) to increase the volume. Press and hold the volume – button (9) to decrease the volume.

Hands-free features

With its built-in microphone, Nepto is perfectly for use as a hands-free phone.

Note: High volume can cause acoustic feedback from the microphone. This leads to echo on the caller side, but not on the speaker phone side.

Answer / Ending

To accept an incoming call, briefly press the Start/Stop key (7) once and speak in the direction of the microphone. To end an ongoing call, briefly press the Start/Stop key (7) .
