General information
Introduction
Thank you very much for purchasing the CM-2.4 communication system!
The CM-2 communication system makes it noticeably easier for hearing impaired
people take part in conversations under acoustically difficult situations.
It is for the wireless transmission of speech, music, and sound between the
CM-2.4 transmitter and the CM-2.4 receiver which may be up to 150 meters
apart.
In order to avoid hearing damage due to high volumes, please take care to set
the volume to a low level before use.
The manufacturer will not accept any liability for damage and injury in
consequence of improper use.

Quick setup guide
Your CM-2.4 is already set and ready to use.
Adjusting the settings will only be necessary in cases of transmission
interferences and/or poor sound quality. Should adjustments be necessary,
please note the detailed descriptions from page 20 onwards.
Setup and use:
Charge the devices: Connect the recharger with the power supply and place
the devices in the recharger – or plug the USB charger cable directly into the
USB jacks of the devices and connect it to a regular USB port (computer,
laptop, USB power supplies). The red charging status LED on the respective
device is lit during recharge. The LED switches off when the battery is fully
loaded. The charging time is approx. 2 hours.
Plug the microphone into the MIC input of the transmitter (symbol on
transmitter).
Plug the earphones, headphones, or the neck loop into one of the audio outputs
EAR1 or EAR2 of the receiver (symbol on the receiver).
If using the neck loop:
Put the neckloop around your neck and set your hearing aid to “T“ or “MT“ in
order to transmit sound information directly to the T-coil in your hearing
aid.
Switch the devices on Push the ON/OFF switch into the upper position.
Place the microphone close to your conversation partner or another sound
source to achieve the best results.
Adjust the receiver volume according to your preference:
The volume can be adjusted through levels 00 (Mute) to 09 (maximum volume).
Use the » « and » « buttons to adjust the volume as desired.
After use:
Switch the devices off: Slide the ON/OFF switch back to the lower position.
Please note:
Please do not connect/disconnect the microphone, headphones, or neck loop
while the devices are switched on!

Detailed description
Power ON / OFF
Slide the ON/OFF switch upwards to switch the devices on. The LC display will
light up.
To switch the devices off after use: Slide the ON/OFF switch back to the lower
position.
Transmitting and receiving
The transmission will start as soon as the devices are switched on. The
symbols , »MASTER« and »TALK« are indicated on the transmitter
The symbol indicates the signal strength.
Receiver: Volume up/down
The volume can be adjusted through levels 00 (Mute) to 09 (maximum volume).
Use the » « and » « buttons to adjust the volume as desired.
Receiver: Audio outputs EAR1 and EAR2
The included earphones or the neckloop can be plugged into any of the outputs
EAR1 or EAR2.
The 3,5 mm audio jack makes it possible to connect various audio reproduction
equipment, such as earphones, headphones, neck loops but also audio
amplifiers, and more.
Simultaneous use of both outputs is possible but the volume cannot be adjusted
separately.
Transmitter: Adjusting input sensitivity
The sensitivity of both the inputs »MIC« and »AUX« can be set from 00 to 05.
To set the sensitivity, press the MODE button. The »VOL« symbol is indicated
on the display. Use the » « and » « buttons to set the input level as
desired.
Power supply/recharge
The devices are equipped with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery of 3,7 V /
1100 mAh.
To charge the batteries, connect the recharger with the USB power supply and
place the devices in the recharger or plug the USB charging cable into the USB
jack of the respective device and connect it to a regular USB port (computer,
laptop, USB power supply).
The red charging status LED is lit during recharge. The LED switches off when
the battery is fully loaded.
Group number selection
In the rare case of interference, changing the group number can help. The
following adjustment has to be made on both the transmitter and the receiver:
Switch the device off. Then press and hold both the » « and » « buttons while
switching the device on.
The symbol „GRP« in the display will blink. Select a group number of your
choice between 00 and 39 by pressing the » « and » « buttons. After the
selection, wait for 5 seconds to set the chosen group number. The
»GRP«-symbol will stop blinking and the selected group number is displayed.
Please note:
There should only be one active transmitter within a group! Additional
activated transmitters with the same group number will cause interference in
the sound quality. Transmitter and receiver must be set to the same group
number!

Maintenance and care
All »CM-2.4«-devices do not require any maintenance. If they become dirty,
simply wipe them clean with a soft, damp cloth. Never use spirits, thinners,
or other organic solvents. Do not expose them to full sunlight. In addition,
they must be protected against excessive heat, moisture, and severe mechanical
shocks.
Note: These products are not protected against splash water. Do not place
any containers filled with water, such as flower vases, or anything with an
open flame, such as a lit candle, above or near the products.
Warranty
All »CM-2.4«-devices are very reliable products.
Should a malfunction occur despite the unit having been set up and operated
correctly, please contact your dealer or the manufacturer directly.
This warranty covers the repair of the product and returning it to you free of
charge. We recommend sending the product in its original packaging, so do not
throw the packaging away.
The warranty does not apply to damage caused by incorrect handling or attempts
to repair the unit by unauthorized persons (destruction of the seal on the
unit).
Repairs will only be carried out under warranty if the completed warranty card
is returned accompanied by a copy of the dealer’s invoice/till receipt.
Always specify the product serial number in any event.
Disposal of used electrical and electronic units (applicable in the
countries of the European Union and other European with separate collection
systems).
The symbol on the product or the packaging indicates that this product is not
to be handled as ordinary household waste but has to be returned to a
collecting point for the recycling of electrical and electronic units. You
protect the environment and health of your fellow man by the correct disposal
of this product. Environment and health are endangered by incorrect disposal.
Material recycling helps to reduce the consumption of raw materials. You will
receive further information on the recycling of products from your local
community, our communal disposal company or your local dealer.
