Description

The DRC Wi-Fi Room Controller is designed to be used to coordinate and control multiple Intellects'” fixtures and sensors within a room, as well as connected to the system Wi-Fi network for coordination with other GreenMae DRCTM devices. It provides all energy management functionality both as required by code and as desired by the user. All aspects of the system can be configured to meet the specific needs of the end user and their application. An initial configuration can be created without any special tools using only the room controller and installed devices within the room. System refinements can be made using the Leviton GreenMwe’ DRCTM app from your smartphone or other Wi-Fi enabled Android™ or iOS™ device.

Pre-Requisites

NOTE: For connection to Wi-Fi network and smartphone.
NOTE: For connection to Intellect & LuminaRFT” devices.

  1. Requires standard device back box.
  2. May be multi-ganged.
  3. Decora faceplate purchased separately.
  4. Each room requires at least one room controller, other keypads may be used as remote keypads.

Installation

  1. TO AVOID FIRE, SHOCK, OR DEATH; TURN OFF POWER at circuit breaker or fuse and test that power is off before wiring!
  2. Remove 3/4 in. of insulation from each wire lead and connect per diagram. After all connections have been made, ensure that all wire connectors are firmly attached and there is no exposed copper.
  3. Gently place wires and device into wall box and secure with mounting screws.
  4. Install Decora® wall plate. Installation is complete.
  • NOTE: This device accepts Decora® wall plates (both types – screw less and with screws). If screw plates are used, remove the four tabs at the corners of the mounting strap to avoid interference with the wall plate.

Configuration and Programming

  1. System Configuration is performed using the Leviton GreenMax DRCTM app, downloadable from Google Play or the Apple store. The application can be used to:

  2. Initialize device and connect to network

  3. Assign network devices to this controller

  4. Create groups and scenes

  5. Configure daylighting zones and target lighting levels

  6. Define functionality of buttons
    Communication to the room controller is over Wi-Fi. Initial configuration and provisioning must be made by a direct connection to the device. The default SSID and credentials are as follows:

  7. Default SSID: GreenMax DRC-xxxx xxxx is the last four numbers of the MAC address, MAC address is labeled on the side of the device.

  8. Default Wi-Fi Password: leviton0000
    NOTE: If Wi-Fi has been disabled, push and hold the reset button for 5 seconds to renewable Wi-Fi.
    Subsequent to initial provisioning, the access point name will change to the device name as configured by the user, or, the device may be connected to a building access point at which point in time it will be accessible anytime your phone is connected to the building network.

  9. Status/Reset Button. This button can be used to check status and reset. Each function can be activated be pressing the button then releasing after the appropriate time. The LEDs will flash indicating when each threshold has been crossed. See chart below for functionality:

LIMITED 5 YEAR WARRANTY AND EXCLUSIONS

Leviton warrants to the original consumer purchaser and not for the benefit of anyone else that this product at the time of its sale by Leviton is free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal and proper use for five years from the purchase date. There are no other or implied warranties of any kind, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, but if any implied warranty is required by the applicable jurisdiction, the duration of any such implied warranty, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, is limited to five years. Leviton is not liable for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages, including without limitation, damage to, or loss of use of, any equipment, lost sales or profits or delay or failure to perform this warranty obligation. The remedies provided herein are the exclusive remedies under this warranty, whether based on contract, tort or otherwise.
