Introduction

Because more JBL speakers than any other manufacturer can be found in film recording studios and behind the screens of the top movie theatres in the world, JBL systems are held to a higher level than “home” cinema. Advanced crossover networks for signal purity, cutting-edge driver materials for clarity and definition, and “overbuilt” magnetic structures for maximum output and long-term dependability are just a few of the professional features and technologies that set Leviton Architectural Edition powered by JBL apart from the competition in professional applications. Even the acoustically transparent grilles that cover this speaker technology were influenced by JBL’s many years of expertise with behind-the-screen theatrical sound systems.

Leviton Architectural Edition speaker systems, powered by JBL, are certain to raise the bar for home entertainment enjoyment. Leviton/AEM65 JBL’s Two- Channel Stereo Speaker has a distinctive shape that makes it ideal for surround-sound setups that call for the least amount of ceiling holes possible. With this device, left and right surround-sound channels can be produced from a single speaker placement. Through the use of a dual tweeter array and twin voice coils, the AEM65 “sums” two stereo channels in a single speaker. JBL 6.5-Inch Two Channel and Single-Location Two-Way In-Ceiling Loudspeaker powered by Leviton Architectural Edition.

HOW IN-WALL SPEAKERS WORK

In-wall speakers only affect the quality of the sound in one way: their restricted depth and width limit the cabinet’s volume to that which can be adjusted by adjusting the enclosure’s height. Even some in-wall speakers use “infinite baffle” designs, in which the wall acts as the speaker box.

HOW TO CONNECT TO TV

Use an RCA jack on the speaker end and a 3.5mm audio jack on the TV end. You can utilize a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable if your speakers’ input interface is also 3.5mm (rather than RCA connectors).

HOW TO KNOW IF WALL SPEAKERS WORK

Lightly contact the speaker wire to the battery using a battery and the other end of the wire. A positive sign is when you hear noise. Check to see whether everything is connected correctly before trying again with a different cable if you can’t hear anything.

FAQs

How can I tell if my speaker is malfunctioning?****

Damage to a blown speaker may be audible with some mechanical movement. It should sound like a solid drum if you lightly tap the speaker’s cone. A defective speaker can be identified if you hear rattling, similar to a loose snare drum.

What safety measures need to be taken when installing insulation?****

To prevent eye irritation, wear goggles and a head covering. gloves and long- sleeved, baggy clothing to reduce skin contact.

Why must speakers be set back from a wall?****

If at all feasible, keep your speakers away from the walls because sound waves might be affected by reflections off of nearby objects.

What stops a speaker from functioning?****

The majority of problems with audio systems are caused by poor or inaccurate connections and wiring. Incorrect settings on your TV, AV receiver, and speakers might potentially cause issues. Unbelievably, improper speaker placement can also cause some audio-related problems.

What results in a speaker being silent?****

Check for any loose cables or cords at the speaker and headphone connections. Ensure that all cables and cords are plugged in. Make sure all cords and cables are plugged into the appropriate jack if there are multiple 5mm jacks available, particularly if you have a surround sound system.

What about in-wall speakers for music?****

In-wall speakers offer excellent sound quality, flexible installation options, and a wider sound stage. All types of home entertainment systems benefit greatly from having them.

Are there problems painting this speaker?****

These can be painted to match any decor. If you wish to change their color, the satin finish on the grille and frame will function as a primer coat. Before painting, install the paint shield (inner section of the template in the assembly kit) securely into the recess in the baffle. This will protect the speaker components and baffle from paint residue.

Is this for one speaker or a pair?****

The price is for 1ea Speaker.

Do on-wall speakers outperform built-in speakers in quality?****

On-wall speakers’ greatest benefit is that they take up minimal room, making them the ideal option if you have limited space.

How much depth do in-wall speakers require?****

For optimal installation, most in-wall speakers need 3 12″ of depth and most in-ceiling speakers need 5″ or more behind the drywall, but make sure to check the speaker’s requirements first.

If you install in-wall speakers, do you remove the insulation first?****

By putting the speaker into the hole with the back first and removing the section of insulation, you can check the size of the hole. Shave the area around the outline if the hole is too small, then retest. Install your speaker as normal.

How many wires do I need to run (conductors) if I plan to use this with a Leviton hi-fi 2 mainboard?****

Per part number and manufacturer description you will need (4) conductors, a pair of 16/2 stranded would work. This speaker replaces the need to have (2) separate speakers because it has (2) voice coils built in which is why it will need to have (4) total conductors run from the speaker to the HiFi2 head unit.

Do in-wall speakers pose a fire risk?****

A speaker’s heat output is thought to be far too little to start a fire.
