– Vibration contraption A-3310-0
– Flash module A-3320-0
– Acoustic module A-3340-0
– Telephone cable (optionally available)
– Microphone cable (3.5mm TRSplug, optionally available)

Start up

Plug in the power supply unit of the »time flash« into a 230 V power outlet and connect the cable with the 12 V connection socket.

Select alarm tone/ melody

You can select the alarm tone/ melody with the tone selection buttons. You can choose from 10 different types of tone sequences.

Snooze Alarm

Press the Light/Snooze button to suspend an alarm which is in progress. The alarm is triggered again after about 5 minutes.

Telephone ring signalling

The »time flash« can show telephone rings by flash, blinking and tone signals. There are two connection possibilities to pick up the telephone ring:

  1. You can pick up the telephone ring signal by using a telephone cable (optionally available). This way you connect a special N-coded telephone cable with the Telephone socket.
  2. You can pick up the ring signal from the sound outlet of the telephone by using an external microphone (optionally available) which is fixed with a self-adhesive pad to the sound outlet. The microphone cable is connected to the “MIC IN” connection socket at the backside of the »time flash«.

Note:
The ringing signal of the telephone is set factory-wise and cannot be changed with the tone selection buttons.

Setting the sensitivity

Set the ringer of your telephone to its maximum volume. Set the sensitivity of the »time flash« to its lowest level (turn to the anticlockwise stop). Activate the telephone ringer and gradually increase the sensitivity of the »time flash« (by turning the dial clockwise) until the »time flash« reacts to the telephone ringing.
Please note: It is possible that the telephone signal may be triggered once if you replace the telephone handset with too much force.

Switching on the clock face illumination

Press the Light/Snooze button to switch on the clock face illumination for about 6 seconds.

Switching the flash on and off

The flash feature of the time flash alarm clock can be switched on and off.
To switch the flash off, please proceed as follows:
– Switch off the alarm and the tone (Switches are pressed in, the green edge is not visible).
– Now press the alarm repeat button on the top side of the alarm clock and keep it held down.
– Press six times on the left tone adjuster button (situated at the right side of the volume control).

When pressing the button you will hear a beep tone.
– Let go of the alarm repeat button. The flash is now switched off.

To switch the flash on, please proceed as described above, but press six times on the right tone adjuster button.

The flash is now switched on again.

Special aspects

  • The alarm signal is repeated after 5 minutes (auto snooze) unless you press the Light/Snooze button or the alarm ON/OFF button.
  • The quartz mechanism of the alarm clock has a backup power supply. The clock will continue to operate for about 2 hours if there is a power failure. The alarm function and the illumination are deactivated during this period.
  • The clock face illumination is also activated when the alarm is triggered.
  • In addition to the green marking of the Alarm ON/OFF switch, the snooze button is also illuminated when the alarm is triggered.
  • The »time flash« uses a chase light for signalling an alarm. During an alarm the 6 LEDs at the frontside will be switched alternately, creating the chase light.
