USING EASYVAC ZIPPER BAGS

  1. Place the food inside the vacuum zipper bag and make sure the zipper is secure. Avoid overfilling the bag.
  2. Lay the bag flat, on a stable solid surface. Make sure the area of the valve is flat and free from any obstructions.
  3. Attach the sealer to the bag valve and press the power button to start the vacuum process. You may have to hold the sealer and press it down gently.
  4. Once the air is extracted from the bag, the LED indicator will flash for a few seconds and then the sealer will automatically stop.
  5. Remove the sealer and press the bag valve with your finger to remove any air bubbles (this can help prevent the valve from leaking). Place the bag with food in the fridge or pantry.

Important tips

  • For juicy food like tomato, berries or salad leaves and delicate ingredients, we recommend you not extracting all the air or they might end up crushed by the vacuum sealing process. You can use the plastic or glass containers for these foods as an alternative.
  • Do not vacuum seal liquids in zipper bags. Use the glass or plastic containers for soups, sauces, and juices.
  • Avoid overfilling the zipper bags and make sure the valve lays flat. When vacuum sealing zipper bags, small amounts of crumbs or food particles can be inadvertently pulled into the valve, creating a possible air leak.
  • Do not place foods with sharp ends in the zipper bags. It may cause damage and create an air leak.

USING EASYVAC PLASTIC/GLASS CONTAINERS

  1. Place food inside the container. Set the lid on top and apply some pressure with both hands to snap into place and prepare the container for vacuum sealing.
  2. Attach the sealer to the container lid and press the power button.
  3. The LED indicator light will flash for a few seconds once it reaches the preset vacuum level and the sealer will automatically stop. Remove the sealer and place the container in the fridge or pantry.

Important tips

  • While most fruits and vegetables stay fresher for longer when vacuum sealed, raw bananas and mushrooms may actually deteriorate faster due to their natural ripening process.
  • Don’t vacuum seal raw carrots, onions, garlic, cabbage, and lettuce because they release natural gasses that affect vacuum level.
  • Sucking in liquid can affect the performance and even damage the sealer. If a small volume of liquid goes into this sealer by accident, it can be drained from the Liquid Outlet. However, liquids such as coffee, fruit juice and oil can’t be completely drained, thus affecting the sealer performance in an irreversible way.
  • Vacuum packaging is not a substitute for the refrigerator or freezer. Perishables still need to be refrigerated.
  • Vacuum packaging doesn’t extend the food expiration date. Food will be safe to eat within the expiration date printed on the product’s original packaging.
