Maintenance and cleaning

Cleaning:
Switch the product off, remove all plugs and wait until it cools down completely before cleaning! To detach any attachments and for easier cleaning, switch on the device and run it empty for about 30 seconds. If the jar lid cannot be easily detached, please perform and repeat the following operation two or three times:
Press Reverse—OFF—ON at the same time, and hold and rotate the jar lid to detach it. Once you’re finished extracting the juice, pour some water into the jar lid to clean it so that it will be easier to detach.

CAUTION!
Do not turn the power switch straight from “I” to “R” or from “R” to “I” at any time during operation. If necessary, first press the power switch to the “O” position and bring the unit to a complete stop, then turn the power switch from “I” to “R” or from “R” to “I”.

Remove the food pusher, then push the clasp outward to release the jar lid. Then, turn the jar lid anti-clockwise to remove it. Detach the strainer and the grinding head from the jar. If detaching the grinding head proves difficult, place the jar on a stable surface and hold the grinding head with one hand, then push the axis with the other hand to detach it.
Empty the waste container, and then clean the jar lid, the grinding head, the strainer, the jar, and the waste container under running water. To clean the strainer, wash its concave surface under running water with the small cleaning brush several times, and then the whole strainer can be cleaned.

CAUTION!
The strainer is sharp, so be careful while cleaning it. Do not use a metal sponge to clean it, as it will damage the machine. If you need to clean the waste outlet thoroughly, you must pull the buffer plate out of the waste outlet and then clean it using a small cleaning brush. Wipe the outside of the motor unit using a damp cloth. Never immerse the motor unit in water. Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents or materials such as scouring milk or steel wool to clean the components. They can damage the upper surface of the appliance! Dry all the parts and assemble them before storing the appliance in a dry place. The juice container can be stored inside the waste container.

Make sure moisture does not enter the product while cleaning to prevent damage to the product and related repairs.

STORAGE:
Allow the appliance to cool down completely and make sure it’s clean before storing it. When no longer using the device, store it in a dry environment, protected from dust and direct sunlight. Store your appliance inside the original case provided.

INSTRUCTIONS

How to use:

DESCRIPTION
The low-speed juicer is a unique system in which fresh juice comes from squeezing instead of grinding. This allows the juice to keep its pure color, natural flavor, nutrients, and vitamins. The juice will flow into your glass from the juice spout, and the pulp will be collected in the pulp container. When using the juicer, the pulp container and the juice container must be pre- assembled. Details are described below.

INITIAL USE

  • Unpack the device and place all the parts on a horizontal surface.
  • Soak all detachable parts and accessories in warm, soapy water, and rinse them. Never immerse the motor in water for cleaning, to avoid the risk of electric shock.
  • Correct assembly will be described in detail in the sections below.
  • Before assembly, make sure the power cord is unplugged from the outlet and the power switch is in the “O” position.

NOTES BEFORE USE:

Prepare all necessary ingredients according to their characteristics:

  • FIBROUS INGREDIENTS: Fibrous ingredients must be cut into slices that are 3–5 cm long and 1.5–2 cm thick.
  • LEAFY VEGETABLES AND FIBROUS INGREDIENTS (such as celery, wild celery, etc.): Cut the stems of the ingredients into 3–5 cm long slices and then roll up the leaves of the ingredients tightly.
  • FRUIT WITH HARD PITS: Stone fruit should be chopped. Peaches, plums, mangoes, apricots, and jujube cores should not be placed in the juicer to avoid any malfunction.
  • INGREDIENTS WITH THICK/HARD SKIN: These must be peeled before being placed in the juicer for processing.
  • FROZEN INGREDIENTS: These should only be used after thawing. Never place ice in the juicer. Notes regarding the frozen food strainer:
  • The frozen food strainer can only be used to make frozen dishes using deep-frozen bananas and blueberries.
  • Before processing them, thaw the frozen ingredients, ensuring they can be pierced with a fork.
  • Add the ingredients gradually, every 5 seconds or so.
  • Do not process ingredients that have not been thawed.
  • Do not push the ingredients into the jar lid using excessive force.
  • The frozen food strainer cannot be replaced with the juice strainer or the jam strainer while the juicer is operating.

ASSEMBLY

Securely assemble the buffer plate.

The buffer plate must be securely fitted to the waste outlet each time the device is cleaned.

  1. Before operating, check the buffer plate and make sure it is securely mounted in the waste outlet: see page 3, fig.B1.Add the jar, making sure the waste outlet is positioned correctly. The jar must be assembled securely in the correct position, otherwise, the device will not operate (B2).PROZIS-Squish-Slow-Juicer-fig-2
  2. Then, select the strainer based on what you want to make, and then place it in the jar: see page 3, fig. C1. There are three strainers available to select from a juice strainer, a jam strainer and a frozen food strainer. After that, place the grinding head in the jar, making sure it is correctly placed on the shaft of the motor unit (C2).PROZIS-Squish-Slow-Juicer-fig-3 NOTE: The three strainers cannot be changed while the device is operating. The juice strainer is used to extract juice, the jam strainer is used to make ketchup only, and the frozen food strainer is used to make frozen dishes. Select the appropriate strainer based on what you require.
  3. Assemble the jar lid correctly. First, add the jar lid, making sure the ” ” symbol aligns with the same ” ” symbol on the jar: see page 3 fig. D1. Then, turn the jar lid clockwise until the ” ” symbol on the jar lid aligns with the ” ” symbol on the jar. (D2). After that, press the clasp inward to lock the jar lid tightly (D3). The jar lid must in the correct position, otherwise, the device will not work. Finally, add the food pusher to the jar lid (D4).PROZIS-Squish-Slow-Juicer-fig-4
  4. Place your juice container below the juice outlet and the waste container below the waste outlet: see page 3, fig. E. The Juicer is now ready to operate. Note: When you need to move the whole appliance, please hold it by the motor unit instead of the jar lid to avoid accidents.

USING YOUR JUICER

  1. Before plugging the power cord into the outlet, make sure the power switch is in the “O” position. The power switch has three settings: “I” indicates “ON”. Push the power switch to the “I” position to activate the motor and start juicing. “O” indicates “OFF”. Press the power switch to the “O” position to switch off the machine. “R” stands for reverse rotation, which is only used when something is stuck and needs to be removed.

  2. Make sure the juice container and the waste container are placed in the correct position.

  3. Cut fruit and vegetables into smaller pieces, e.g., carrots should be cut into thin slices 15 mm×15 mm before being placed in the machine.
    NOTE:

    • Please remove any pits before juicing.
    • Do not process coconut, sugarcane or similarly hard food, as this may damage the motor.
    • Processing hard fruit or fibrous and starchy vegetables is not recommended.
    • The peel and pits should be removed from oranges, lemons, grapefruits, and melons.
  4. Add fruit or vegetables at an even pace. Do not load food too quickly and do not load too much food at a time.
    NOTE:
Use the food pusher to remove any blockage should the jar lid be blocked by ingredients.

  5. Connect the appliance to the power supply, and then press the power switch to the “ON” position. The appliance will start working. After a few minutes, the juice will drain out.

  6. If the machine becomes stuck while operating, first press the power switch to the “O” position and then press the reset switch at the bottom of the unit: see page 3, fig. F.PROZIS-Squish-Slow-Juicer-fig-6Leave the power switch in the “R” position for a few seconds and then try to operate the device again. If the reverse function is not working, switch off the machine and reassemble following the instructions given. Once reassembled, try switching on the machine.

  7. Once the juice container is full (maximum capacity is 400 mL) or once you have finished juicing, switch the power switch to the “O” position and empty the juice container and the waste container before continuing.

NOTE:

  • The maximum operating time should be less than 15 minutes. There should be a minimum rest time of 30 minutes between two continuous cycles.
  • Do not add too much food at a time. While operating, and once the juice container is full, you should stop the appliance and empty the waste container before the next cycle.
  • While operating, if the interlock switch between the jar lid and the motor unit is disconnected, the motor will stop to avoid any danger.
  • When extracting juice, the waste should be removed as quickly as possible so that the jar, the grinding head and the jar lid can be easily separated.
  • Once finished, enjoy your juice in time to get the best flavor. Any unused juice should be stored in the refrigerator.

CAUTION!

  • Do not turn the power switch straight from “I” to “R” or from “R” to “I” at any time during operation. If necessary, first press the power switch to the “O” position and bring the unit to a complete stop, then turn the power switch from “I” to “R” or from “R” to “I”.
  • Do not operate the unit while empty to avoid damaging the grinding assembly (including the grinding head and the strainer).
