Function

A »mona« monitoring system consists of at least one door monitor and a »mona« video receiver. Up to four transmitters can be registered on to one video receiver. When the door monitor‘s bell button is pushed, a radio- and image signal is transmitted to the »mona« video receiver. The receiver indicates the signals through sound and images on its display.

Safety instructions

  • Before putting the devices to use, please read this manual completely and thoroughly.
  • Keep the manual safety, so that other users have access to it when needed.
  • When using power tools, please follow their manufacturer’s instructions and use protective gear (e.g. safety goggles)
  • Before drilling into walls, please make sure that no hidden power lines or water pipes are underneath.  If in doubt, we recommend using a cable/pipe detector.

Inserting the power pack into the video receiver

A power pack is included with the video receiver. Slide the battery compartment open and connect the power pack with the socket. Make sure that it is plugged in the right way round! Insert the power pack into the battery compartment, then slide the lid back on.

Setup of video receiver

Insert the cable of the power supply into “DC 6V” socket located on the underside of the charger base. Plug the power supply into a 230 V mains socket. Place the receiver into the charger base. Before initial operation, you should fully charge the receiver for about 15 hours. It is advisable to place the receiver regularly into the charger base in order to charge the power pack and therefore establish interruption-free operation.

Setup of door monitor
There are two possibilities of feeding power to the door monitor: 1st possibility: With six type AA batteries 2nd possibility: The door monitor can be  directly supplied with power via the doorbell wire of your house (+12V DC).

Inserting the batteries into the door monitor

Remove the securing screw and take the battery casing off the back of the door monitor. Insert six batteries (type AA, 1,5 V, alkaline) into the battery compartment. Make sure to match the correct polarity, as incorrect orientation might damage the device! When replacing the batteries, always use good quality alkaline batteries, as  these can last up to two years per battery set (depending on the frequency of use).

Direct power supply on doorbell wire, connection to +12V DC

We recommend the following installation be done by pro-  fessionals. Do not use the permanent power supply by doorbell wire together with the batteries! This form of power supply is recommended for frequent monitoring functions or when the motion detector is activated.

Remove the battery casing. There are rubber-covered openings in the casing. Carefully cut a hole where you wish to thread the doorbell wire through. Connect the wires according to the illustrations below.
