conditions of use
TESTAIR is a machine for sampling surfaces in order to check the cleanliness of the ventilation system and air conditioning (VSAC) ducts. The sampling is carried out by an air suction pump which is connected via a flexible tube to filters contained in a cassette. The suction is carried out within a standardized template placed on the surface of the duct. The particulate matter that is left on the filters is then weighed in order to measure the amount per surface unit. Any other use is strictly forbidden without the written permission of the manufacturer.

operating instructions
Steps for the correct use of the TESTAIR:
Connection to a power source is via an electricity cable attached to the
equipment. All sampling must be preceded by a visual inspection. The following
steps must be followed: Setting the pump flow. To do this, remove the seals
from both sides of the cassette and connect the OUTLET (with a rounded point)
of the cassette to one end of the flexible tube. Connect the other end of the
tube to the inlet of the pump Rotameter. Turn on the pump and increase the
suction flow until the Rotameter indicates that the required flow has been
reached (15 l/min in the case of the NADCA ACR).
- Once the flow has been set you can then take the measurement operating instructions
- Steps for the correct use of the TESTAIR
- Placing the template on the sampling surface. Ensure that it cannot move during the sampling. The template must be completely horizontal on a dry surface.
Sampling
Suction the template strips by sliding the cassette along them at a speed of
no more than 5 cm/s. The edges of the cassette must stay on the template and
not touch the surface of the strip.
The cassette must remain in contact with the template but without exerting pressure on it. UNE, NADCA, and TR/19 regulations specify that each strip/groove must be suctioned twice (forward and back). Completing the sampling. Turn off the pump, remove the tube, and then place the inlet and outlet seals on the cassette. The cassettes must be suitably labeled in accordance with UNE standard 171330 for subsequent analysis. The weight of a new, calibrated cassette is 10.61 grams without labels.

transport
The machine was designed so that it could be transported in its protective case. During transport, the machine must be correctly packed using the foam shapes and the case lock in order to prevent any type of damage. Similarly, the case itself must be protected from any type of impact. It is not advisable to place the machine on a transport pallet or similar. The machine must be on a completely flat and horizontal surface.
maintenance and care
Keep the machine as clean as possible. Keep the equipment in a place protected
from the weather and at a temperature between 0 and 40 C. In the event that
the suction does not work uniformly, check that the tube is not blocked with
dirt.
Keep the machine in good condition, and avoid knocking it or overloading it.
Keep connections clean to avoid clogged pipes that could cause serious damage
to the main components of the machine.
