Thank you for purchasing the JJC JF-U Series 3 in 1 Wireless Remote Control & Flesh Trigger Kit. For the best performance, please reed this instruction carefully before using. You must reed it thoroughly and fully understand this manual to avoid improper operation which may result in damage to the product.
The JF-U Series 3 in 1 Wireless Remote Control & Flash Trigger Kit is a versatile and reliable remote control kit that can be used es a Wired Remote Control, a Wireless Remote Control or a Wireless Flash Trigger. It triggers off-camera flash units and studio lights from up to 30meters / 100 feet away. The JF-U series also provides the convenience of a wireless and wired camera shutter release, ideal for photographing wildlife, and also for macro and close-up photos, where the slightest camera movement can ruin a picture. Working on the 433MHz frequency gives you reduced radio interference and an extended range – you don’t need to have line-of-sight alignment, either, as radio waves will pass through walls, windows and floors.

REPLACING BATTERIES

1. Slide open the battery covers of transmitter and receiver respectively in the direction of OPEN ARROW on the battery covers.

2. Put one 23A battery into the battery compartment of the transmitter, and two AAA batteries into compartment of receiver es directions shown in pictures below. Do not install batteries in the reverse direction. (Note: If there is inconsistency between the battery brands in the picture and those supplied in the package, the actual product shall govern.)
   

3. Make sure batteries are fully in place and slide back the battery covers of transmitter and receiver respectively.
   

CHANNEL SETTING

Note : Please make sure the Transmitter and Receiver are adjusted to the same channel before using.

There are 16 channels select-able for Transmitter and Receiver. Slide open the battery covers end set channel codes of Transmitter and Receiver to the same position. The following channel is one of available channels.

WIRELESS FLASH TRIGGER

1. Check to be sure that both the transmitter and the receiver are set to the same channel. (If multiple flash units and receivers are used, please make sure the channels of all the receivers are the same with the transmitter.)

2. Tum off your camera, flash as well as the receiver.

3. Mount the transmitter onto the camera hot shoe socket. And mount the flash onto the receiver hot shoe socket.
   

4. If your flash or studio light does not have a hot shoe, connect the flash or studio light with the ACC2 socket of the receiver by the studio light cable supplied in the package.
   

5. Tum on your camera, flesh, and shift the Mode switch on receiver to the Flesh option.|
   Then press the shutter button on your camera, end both indicators on the transmitter and the receiver will jam green. At this time, your flesh will be triggered.

Note
Since the JF-U does not transmit TTL settings, using e fully manually controlled flesh or light unit is recommended. Please set the desired power output on the flash manually.

WIRELESS SHUTTER RELEASE

Note: This function requires the use of a JJC shutter release cable (sold separately). Check the enclosed Connecting Cable Brochure for the cable you need.

1. Check to be sure that both the transmitter and the receiver are set to the same channel. (If multiple flash units end receivers are used, please make sure the channels of ell the receivers are the same with the transmitter.

2. Tum off both your camera and receiver. Mount the receiver onto the camera hot shoe socket. Connect the ACC2 socket of receiver end camera remote socket by the shutter release cable.
   

3. Tum on the camera and shift the Mode switch to the “Camera” option.

4. Press the release button on the transmitter halfway to focus, and the indicators on both transmitter end receiver should b.Jm green. Then fully press the release button, the indicators will tum red and the camera shutter is triggered.
   

WIRED SHUTTER RELEASE

Note: This function requires the use of a JJC shutter release cable (sold separately). Check the enclosed Connecting Cable Brochure for the cable you need.

1. Tum off the camera. Then connect one end of the shutter release cable to the ACC1 socket of transmitter end the other end to camera remote sock.et.
2. Tum on the camera. Half press the release button on the transmitter to focus and fully press to trigger camera shutter.

NOTE

1. When shifting modes of the receiver between “Camera” and •Flash•, do not push the mode switch too fest. Please wait e second et •oFF• position before adjusting the switch to the other mode, or breakdown may be caused.
2. There are 16 channels available in all to prevent interference from other radio equipment. Therefore when JF-U does not work normally, please adjust the channel and try again.
3. Flash sync speed of JF-U is up to 1/250. Please make sure your camera shutter speed is less then or equal to 1/250, such es 1/200, 1/160. If your shutter speed is higher then 1/250, suches 1/320, pictures taken may be underexposed. If this occurs, please adjust your camera shutter speed.
4. When using JF-U to trigger a flash, please make sure the hot shoe parts of the transmitter end the camera have been attached well.
5. When using JF-U to trigger a flash, both the transmitter and the receiver works normally, but the flesh is not triggered, check to be sure that the flash mode is set to manual mode.
