Tools Needed for Installation

Step 1

  1.  Determine the installation location. This product is intended to be attached to the wallboard (i.e. Drywall). The wallboard should be 1/2” – 3/4” thick.
  2.  Using a stud finder, locate a position between the studs. The CenterPoint of each box must be located at least 3.0” from a stud to allow for the drill hole and the drywall clamps to deploy properly.
  3.  The CenterPoint distance between the top box set (1a & 1b) and bottom box set (2a & 2b) can be no more than 60” (5’).
  4. Use a pencil to mark the drill locations on the wallboard. Make sure there is an existing receptacle nearby for the attachment of the included POWER CORD.

Step 2

  •  Using the COUPLER (included) snap the two CABLE TUBES together.  If your installation distance is 60”, make sure that the overall CABLE TUBE length is 56.5” long. Carefully and accurately trim if necessary using a utility knife. If your installation distance is less than 60”, measure the distance between the new center points and subtract that number from 60”. Starting with the 56.5” CABLE TUBE, carefully and accurately trim off the additional difference from one end of the CABLE TUBES using a utility knife. Note: Cut the tube in a valley, not on a ridge. The cut should be clean, straight and free of burs. If you cut the tube too short, you can order additional tubes by contacting customerservice@titan3.com

Step 3

  •  Assemble the HOLE SAW (See Figure C-1). Using a power drill, drill the marked holes. Note: Be careful to drill slowly and do not push on the wallboard with any more pressure than necessary to cut. Excessive damage to the backside of the wallboard can occur without proper care.

Step 4

  •  Assemble the fish stick. See Figure C-2

Step 5

  1.  Attach one end of the combined CABLE TUBES to the tube port of a LOW VOLTAGE CABLE BOX. Make sure that the TUBE is completely seated in the port. Once the TUBE is attached securely, strap the NM CORD to the TUBE with RUBBER BANDS (included) spaced evenly along with the TUBE. This will ensure an easier pull through the wall to the bottom hole. Note: Straighten the NM Cord. The NM Cord should be free of kinks or bends.
  2.  Push the TUBE from the Top Hole toward the Bottom Hole until the LOW VOLTAGE CABLE BOX is seated in the Top Hole. If insulation limits the movement of the tube, feed the Fishstick up from the bottom hole to assist in pulling the tube from the top to the bottom hole. Do not push the POWER RECEPTACLE BOX into the hole.

Step 6

Push the FISHSTICK through the assembly such that it protrudes out of the TOP LOW VOLTAGE CABLE BOX and the bottom hole, see Figure G-2. Turn the TOP LOW VOLTAGE CABLE BOX slightly until it can be pushed back into the wall cavity. Make sure that the assembly is not lost in the wall cavity. Pull the TUBE through the bottom hole slightly until the BOTTOM LOW VOLTAGE CABLE BOX can be pushed onto the TUBE as shown in Figure G-1. Make sure the TUBE is completely seated in the port. Pull the TOP LOW VOLTAGE CABLE BOX back until it sits in the top hole as shown in Figure I. Remove the FISHSTICK and skip to

Step 7

  1.  Position the BOTTOM LOW VOLTAGE CABLE BOX in the hole. The BOX should be biased at the top of the Bottom Hole.

  2.  Put the Top LOW VOLTAGE CABLE BOX into place within the Top Hole. Then place the POWER RECEPTACLE BOX into the Top Hole. See Figure I
Note: You may have to manipulate the NM Cord in order to get the Power Receptacle Box to slide into place.

  3.  Pull the NM CORD out of the Bottom Hole.

Step 8

  1.  Pull the NM CORD through the POWER INLET BOX (back to front).
  2.  Snap the two pieces of the BOX INSERT together around the Inlet.
  3.  Gently bend the NM cord so that the BOX INSERT can be slid into the POWER INLET BOX. Be careful not to overstress the NM cord. Push the BOX INSERT until it is completely seated and snaps into the POWER INLET BOX.
Note: Failure to completely snap the insert into the Power Inlet Box could result in a shock hazard.

Step 9

  1.  Push the POWER INLET BOX until it is seated against the wallboard surface.
Note: You may have to manipulate the NM Cord in order to get the Power Inlet Box to slide into place.

  2.  Tighten the MOUNTING SCREWS on ALL four Boxes (8 total screws).
NOTE : Be careful not to over-tighten the mounting screws, damage to the plastic drywall clamps, screws, or electrical boxes may occur.

Step 10

Push Low Voltage Cables (i.e. HDMI, Coax, RCA, etc.) through the LOW VOLTAGE CABLE BOXES and the TUBE.

Step 11

  1.  Pull the Low Voltage Cables (i.e. HDMI, Coax, RCA, etc.) through the rubber membrane in the FACEPLATES.
  2.  Snap the FACEPLATES onto each BOX SET. There are four snaps on each FACEPLATE. Make sure each one engages.

Step 12

  1.  Plug TV Power Cord into the TOP BOX OUTLET.
  2.  Connect the BOTTOM BOX INLET using the included POWER CORD to a nearby outlet. Should it be necessary to remove the INLET from the BOTTOM BOX:
  3.  Unscrew the two screws from the Bottom POWER INLET BOX and pull slightly from the wall.
  4.  Insert small flat screwdrivers into the slots A and B. From the backside gently push the outlet out of the box until it stops. Then insert the screwdrivers into slots C and D as you gently push the outlet completely out of the box. Be careful not to damage the snap features.
