EDID Management
By default, the EDID is set to 1080p (switch number 4 and 5 on the
Transmitter unit both set to ↑). You can change these settings as shown in the
Transmitter’s table above to copy EDID from the Receiver’s monitor or from the
loop out monitor. When any change is done, push the EDID button on the
Transmitter unit to confirm. Please note that before copying the Receiver’s
EDID on the Transmitter, please copy the EDID data from the monitor connected
to the Receiver unit by pushing the Menu button on the Receiver, select EDID
and push the Select button to confirm
RS-232 Serial
The Transmitter and Receiver both feature a 3.5mm serial connection for the
extension of control signals. The default baud rate is 115200bps. To change
this, press the Menu button on the front panel of the Receiver unit, select
the baud rate menu, then press the Select button to select the baud rate
needed and press Menu button again to confirm.

Rotary Switch
Both units have a built-in rotary switch for pairing devices when
connecting more units though a network switch.
Transmitters and Receivers can be set up under the same group (0 or 1) and units can be paired by choosing the same channel with the rotary switch (from 0 to 9 and from A to F). The channel number and the group setting of the Transmitter and Receiver must be the same to be connected to each other. Up to 32 units can be paired, 16 for each group. After setting the pairing and group, please power cycle all the units involved
Troubleshooting
It has been found that there are significant differences in the cable lengths/types and even input ports which can be used on different brands of displays or devices. If problems are experienced, please apply the following steps:
- Check that all cables are plugged in correctly in the respective ports as shown in the Installation chapter.
- Reduce the length of Cat.6/7 cable used or use a higher quality cable (with Cat.5e cables the maximum length supported is up to 120m)
- Try a different type or reduce the DVI cable length on the Input and Output to 1m.
- Default Transmitter EDID is 1080p, copy the remote monitor from the Receiver or loop out monitor EDID from the Transmitter as described in the Operation paragraph.
- If the Extender is connected under a network, please be sure to configure a separated VLAN, if not the network may suffer from high traffic causing certain network components to fail. Lindy suggests using a gigabit network switch.
