A- SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

This manual is an integral part of your product. These instructions are provided for your safety. Read this manual carefully before installing and keep it in a safe place for future reference. Select a suitable location. Make sure you can easily insert screws and wallplugs into the wall. Do not connect your electrical appliance until your equipment is totally installed and controlled. The installation, electric connections and settings must be made using best practices by a specialized and qualified person. The power supply must be installed in a dry place. Check the product is only used for its intended purpose.

The function of this videophone is to identify a visitor, it must not be used for street surveillance. The use of this installation must be in compliance with the French law n° 78-17 of January 6, 1978 relating to data processing, files and freedoms. It is up to the buyer to ask the CNIL about the conditions and administrative authorisations required for use outside a strictly personal context. SCS Sentinel cannot be held responsible in case of use of this product outside the laws and regulations in force.

This product works with the iSCS Sentinel app only. The application is available for free on the PlayStore and the AppStore. Application updates may be necessary, for example to fix bugs, improve features, and benefit from a better user experience. You can enable or disable automatic updates for the iSCS Sentinel application in the PlayStore or AppStore settings. The information concerning the reason for the update, its impact on the performance and the evolution of the functionalities of the product or application as well as the storage space used, are indicated, for each update, on the PlayStore or the Apple Store.

In accordance with the regulations and the legal guarantee, the application availability and updates are guaranteed for a period of 2 years. This manual may be amended as the application is updated. To ensure you have the latest version, we recommend you download it from our website www.scs- sentinel.com

C- WIRING/ INSTALLATION

C1- Installation and connection

1- Choose a suitable location for the monitor.
2- Drill 2 holes with a spacing corresponding to that of the support, then insert the 2 wall plugs supplied.
3- Pass the cable through the hole in the wall bracket and secure it with the 2 screws supplied.
4- Connect the wires in accordance with the wiring diagram.
5- Attach the monitor to the wall bracket.
6- Switch on the monitor to check that the system is operating correctly.

Outdoor monitor

Installation in a porch or covered area is recommended. Avoid the camera lens coming into direct contact with the sun’s rays.

Installation on the flat support

1- Drill 2 holes a spacing corresponding to that of the support, then insert the 2 wall plugs supplied.
2- Pass the cable through the hole in the wall bracket, then fix it to the wall using the 2 screws supplied.
3- Connect the wires in accordance with the wiring diagram.
4- Fix the door station to the wall bracket, then tighten the screw on the underside.

Installation on 30° corner support

1- Drill 2 holes a spacing corresponding to that of the corner support, then insert the 2 wall plugs supplied.
2- Fix the corner support to the wall using the 2 screws supplied.
3- Pass the cable through the hole in the flat bracket, then fix it to the corner bracket using the 2 screws supplied.
4- Connect the wires in accordance with the system wiring diagram.
5- Attach the door station to the flat bracket, then tighten the screw on the underside.

Press to put the standbye mode or touching the screen and slide to the left (automatic after 1 minute without use).
Connection between the outdoor and the monitor.

To confirm the setting changes, exit the menu.

Define the outdoor station settings:
– Gate or strike release time
– Exit button (strike or gate)
– Badge management
– Password unlock enable status
-Adjusting the viewing angle

Opening the gate and electric lock

Exit button

  • The exit button settings allow you to set the opening priority between the gate or the electric strike for the different
  • opening modes (exit button, code or RFID badge).

Select the priority opening mode: gate or door.
(This operation must be carried out even if you do not have an exit button).

  • Unlocking with a push-button
    Example: if «gate» is defined in the «exit button» section

Video Intercom

If «gate» is defined in the exit button section, then operation will be reversed.

  • Unlocking with the code

Activate «password unclock enable status» then click on «unlock password setting».

Set the code by sliding the digits from top to bottom (from 1 to 8 digits) starting from the right (e.g. the registered code is 1234).
Confirm by clicking on< at the top left of the screen.

Example: if «gate» is defined in the «exit button» section
Enter the previously recorded code and confirm with # (e.g. 1234#)

*The gate is open**

Enter the code, adding +l to the value entered, then confirm with #(e.g. 1235#).

*The electric lock is open**

N.B : If the last digit of the code is 9, the +1 digit will be 0. Ex: 1529 ➔ 1520

If «gate» is defined in the exit button section. then operation will be reversed.

OPTION

  • Unlocking with badges (option – AAA0042)

Activate access state.
To add a badge, click on «register access card» then present it in the reading area on the door station. The badge is registered.
Up to 1000 badges can be stored.
To delete a badge, click on «delete all card information».

Example: if «gate» is defined in the «exit button» section
Pass the badge on the RFID zone
(between the lens and the loudspeaker)

*The gate is open**

Press the call button for 3 seconds, then pass the badge on the RFID zone (between the lens and the loudspeaker)

*The electric lock is open**

If «gate» is defined in the exit button section, then operation will be reversed.

Alarm monitor – Contact door
The monitor to alarm if the door or gate is not closed. To do this, a contactor must be installed on the door. This function is activated and configured in the door station settings.

Activate «check door state»

– «Room number to receive the alarm» is the address’s monitor (1 by default).
– «Magnetic contact node type» Normal Close/Normal Open determines the type of contact used (example: NC triggers the alarm if the contact remains closed for longer than the
«longest door open time» below.
– «Longest door open time» determines the time after which the open door alarm is triggered (adjustable from 1 to 30 minutes).

To download the app, go on to the App Store or Play Store on your smartphone. Search for “iSCS Sentinel”, then click on install.

Adding the monitor

Plug_in the power to the monitor and place it near your Wi-Fi router. Your phone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your monitor and location must be enabled.

Some materials may reduce the Wi-Fi range.

reliability. ‘
The invoice will be required as proof of purchase date. Please keep it during the warranty period.
Carefully keep the barcode and the proof of purchase, that will be necessary to claim warranty.

J-WARNINGS

  • Maintain a minimum distance of 10 cm around the device for sufficient ventilation.
  • Be sure that the device is not blocked by paper, tablecloth, curtain or other items that would impede airflow.
  • Keep matches, candles and flames away from the device.
  • Product functionality can be influenced by a strong electromagnetic interference.
  • This equipment is intended for private consumer use only.
  • The monitor and its adapter must not be exposed to dripping or splashing water. No objects filled with liquids, such as vases, should be placed on top of this equipment.
  • The mains plug is used as disconnect device and shall remain readily operable during intended use.
  • The monitor and the adapter must only be used indoors.
  • Connect all the parts before switching on the power.
  • Only connect your appliance using the provided adapter.
  • Do not cause any impact on the elements as their electronics are fragile.
  • Do not block the microphone.
  • When installing the product, keep the packaging out of reach of children and animals. It is a source of potential danger.
  • This appliance is not a toy. It is not designed to be used by children.

Disconnect the appliance from the main power supply before service. Do not clean the product with solvent,
