DEVICE OVERVIEW
BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION
-
Wash the carafe, infusion chamber, and stainless steel tea filter in a mixture of mild detergent and warm water and dry them carefully. Never clean the parts in a dishwasher.
-
Place the tea filter in the infusion chamber, put the lid on, and slide the infusion chamber into the upper compartment of the tea maker.
Note: Do not put loose tea leaves or tea bags in the filter during this first cleaning process. -
Open the tank lid and fill the tank with cold water up to the MAX mark on the water level indicator. Then close the tank lid.
-
Place the carafe with the lid closed in the lower compartment.
-
Insert the plug into the socket.
-
Set the infusion controller to [2] and then press the power switch. You will hear a loud click. The power switch lights up red and signals that the tea maker has been switched on.
-
The water in the tank is now boiled up and released into the infusion chamber. After two minutes, the tea kettle will automatically drain the water in the infusion chamber into the carafe.
-
Switch off your tea maker and dispose of the water from the carafe.
-
Now you can use the tea kettle to prepare tea.
TEA PREPARATION
- Place the funnel on the tea filter and fill in the desired amount of tea. You can use loose tea leaves or tea bags. In general, you should count on 11/2 teaspoons per 300 ml. Remove the funnel. Place the tea filter in the infusion chamber, put the lid on, and slide the infusion chamber into the upper compartment of the tea maker.
- Open the lid and fill the tank with the desired amount of cold water. Do not exceed the MAX mark on the water level indicator but fill the water tank at least to the MIN mark. Then close the tank lid.
- Place the carafe in the lower compartment with the lid closed.
- Insert the plug into the socket.
- Set the infusion regulator to the desired setting between 2 and 16 minutes. You will hear a loud click. The power switch lights up red and signals that the tea maker has been switched on.
- The water in the tank is now boiled and released into the infusion chamber. After the set time (2-16 minutes) you will hear another loud click and the tea maker will automatically drain the water in the infusion chamber into the carafe.
- At this point, the control lamp lights up green.
- The tea is now ready. The hot plate under the carafe keeps the tea warm for 30 minutes before it switches off automatically.
Built-in safety features
- The tea maker can only be operated when the infusion chamber and the carafe are completely pushed into the compartments.
- If the infusion chamber or carafe is removed during the brewing cycle, the appliance stops operating and the indicator light flashes red. If the removed parts are not replaced, the tea kettle will switch off after 10 minutes. If the removed parts are put back in before the 10 minutes have elapsed, the tea kettle will continue to make tea.
- The tea kettle switches off automatically one hour after the last brewing operation.
CLEANING AND CARE
- Always remove the plug from the socket and let the tea maker cool down before cleaning it.
- Wash the carafe, infusion chamber, and stainless steel tea filter in a mixture of mild detergent and warm water and dry them carefully. Never clean the parts in a dishwasher.
- Clean the housing of the tea maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
Descaling the tea kettle
Minerals contained in water can leave deposits in your tea maker that can
affect its performance. It is recommended to clean the tea maker regularly
with a citric acid-based descaling agent or white household vinegar.
- Use one of the above products, add it to the water and fill the tank up to the MAX mark.
- Perform a brewing cycle without tea and empty the water.
- Then carry out another brewing cycle with pure water without tea and empty the water again. You can then brew tea again as usual.
