Overview

The CM42-S indoor mini split camera is a discreet camera, engineered to blend into a variety of environments. The compact CM42-S is comprised of a sensor unit, main unit, and 2-meter / 6-foot USB-C connecting cable, making it an ideal choice for installations in ATMs, retail settings, and other confined spaces.

Despite the sensor’s small size (H: 47.4mm / 1.9in, W: 36.4mm / 1.4in, L: 40.2mm / 1.6in), the CM42-S features 5MP resolution and an Ambarella CV25 processor, making it ideal for a variety of deployments. An audio port allows for an external microphone, enabling customers to complement video monitoring with audio recording. Its 2-meter / 6-foot USB-C connecting cable offers flexible and customizable installation, and its HDMI output promotes streaming locally to a display, like a public viewing monitor, which are often found in retail environments. The CM42-S is engineered to capture video even in low- light conditions, making it suitable for round-the-clock monitoring.

1. All our cameras record in “adaptive quality,” capturing both standard (SQ) and high quality (HQ) streams. SQ video is stored up to the amount of retention specified by the customer. The amount of HQ video stored on the camera will depend on the amount of motion detected by the camera over time. 2. Lens Distortion Correction (LDC) crops the sensor field of view to deliver a rectified, undistorted output image.
3. Should the customer choose to use their own USB-C cable, it must be USB-C 3.1 (or higher) speed rated.
4. +/- Aux not currently supported. Support is forthcoming.
5. Frame rate can be adjusted by support.
6. Extended temperature range includes operating temperatures below -8.5°C / 16.7°F and assumes IR will be enabled.
