Operation
* Note: This adapter supports dual monitors for MacBooks with an Intel chip
but only supports a single monitor for MacBooks with the new M1 chip. This is
a limitation of the new M1 chip.
It is recommended to always use the adapter with your MacBook’s power adapter
connected to the USB-C charging port. This will provide power to the multi-
port adapter while also providing power to charge your MacBook.
Connect the dual USB-C cable dongle to your MacBook.
Connect your MacBook’s power adapter to the USB-C port on the adapter labelled
POWER. Supports up to 100W (20V 5A) power pass through.
Connect 1 or 2 HDMI monitors to the HDMI ports. This adapter supports
simultaneous 4K Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 @60Hz on both monitors#.
Connect your USB-A devices to the two USB 3.0 ports such as USB flash drives,
portable HDDs, webcams, keyboards or mice. The maximum data transfer rate is
5Gbps.
Connect a USB-C device to the USB-C port labelled DATA such as USB flash
drives, portable HDD or webcam. The maximum data transfer rate is 5Gbps.
You can also use the two USB 3.0 ports and the USB-C DATA port to charge your
phone or other USB devices. The maximum power output of each USB-A port is
5V/0.9A and the USB-C port is 5V/1.5A.
Connect an RJ45 network cable to the RJ45 Gigabit LAN port. This will connect
your computer to a wired network. The green LED indicates a connection to a
network. The yellow LED indicates network activity.
Insert an SD or Micro SD memory card into the SD/Micro SD slots to transfer
data. Note: Both SD and Micro SD cards cannot be used at the same time.
For 15″ MacBook Pro 2017 or later & 16″ MacBook Pro. For other MacBook Pro
models and MacBook Air, this adapter supports one monitor at 4K @60Hz (labelled HDMI 1) and one at 4K @30Hz (labelled HDMI 2).
Trouble Shooting
This adapter supports dual monitors for MacBooks with an Intel chip but only
supports a single monitor for MacBooks with the new M1 chip. This is a
limitation of the new M1 chip.
If you are using this MacBook USB-C multi-port adapter to charge your phone or
connect a large external HDD or other USB devices that consume a large amount
of power, you must connect your MacBook’s power adapter.
The USB-C port labelled POWER is for connecting to your MacBook’s power
adapter only and cannot be used to connect phones or other USB devices to
charge or transfer data.
If you are experiencing intermittent connection problems, unplug and replug
the USB-C multi-port adapter.
If your MacBook’s power adapter is disconnected, all device connections will
be lost for a few seconds before reconnecting. During this time, data can be
lost. Do not disconnect the power while transferring data to avoid data loss
or corruption.
During operation, the USB-C multi-port adapter may become hot. This is normal
and should not be cause for concern. To minimise heat, please use the adapter
on a desk or table in a well-ventilated area. Avoid using on soft pillows or
blankets to avoid blocking the ventilation.
For a stable connection, do not connect multiple devices that consume large
amounts of power. The adapter will only support one external HDD and charge
only one phone.
