Setting up your Digital Video Baby Monitor
A. Connecting the Power Supply for the Baby Unit
- Insert the DC plug of the power adapter into the DC socket on the back of the Baby Unit.
- Connect the other end of the power adapter to a suitable electrical outlet.
- Slide the ON/OFF switch to the ON position. The power/link indicator lights up.
Note: Only use the supplied power adapter.
B. Installing the Battery Pack for the Parent Unit
- A rechargeable battery pack is supplied and should be installed and charged, so that the Parent Unit can be moved without losing the link and picture from the Baby Unit(s).
- Remove the battery compartment cover.
- Fit the battery pack into the battery compartment.
- Put back the battery compartment cover, and pull out the desktop stand. (see Section D)
WARNING:
Strangulation hazard. Children have STRANGLED in cords. Keep this cord out of
the reach of children (more than 1 meter away). Do not remove the tags from
the AC Adapters. Only use the AC Adapters provided.
C. Connecting the Power Supply for the Parent Unit
- Insert the DC plug of the power adapter into the DC socket on the side of the Parent Unit.
- Connect the other end of the power adapter to a suitable electrical outlet. The AC power/battery status indicator lights up red to show the AC power is connected and the battery is charging.
- To turn the Parent Unit on or off, press and hold the power . When the Parent Unit is turned on the Power/ button Link indicator lights up green, but flashes if searching for a Baby Unit.
Note
Only use the power adapter and battery pack provided. The Parent Unit can work
with the power adapter connected but without a battery pack installed. When
the Baby and Parent Units are both switched ON, the display on the Parent Unit
will show the color image captured by the Baby Unit. But ifthe room is dark,
the image will be displayed in black and white and with a icon, due to
infra-red illumination by the Baby Unit.
D. Desktop Stand of the Parent Unit
- Flip out the stand on the back of the Parent Unit to set up the desktop stand.
Basic operation of the keys
Parent Unit
Power ON/OFF button| Press and hold to switch the Parent Unit ON/OFF.
Press to turn the screen off (audio stays on and any button turns screen back on).
UP/VOL+ button| When in monitor mode, press to increase speaker volume.
When in a menu, press to move up. When in zoom mode, press and hold to move up
the image.
DOWN/VOL- button| When in monitor mode, press to decrease speaker
volume. When in a menu, press to move down. When in zoom mode, press and hold
to move down the image.
MENU button| Press to open or close the menu options.
OK OK button| When in a menu, press to choose an item, or save a
setting.
LEFT/Back button| When in zoom mode, press to return to normal mode, or
press and hold to move left across the image. When in the main menu, press to
move to the option to the left. When in a menu, press to return to the
previous screen.
Zoom/RIGHT Button| When in the main menu, press to move to the option on
the right. When viewing an image, press to zoom in. When in zoom mode, press
and hold to move right across the image.
Baby Unit|
ON/OFF switch| Slide to the ON position to switch ON the Baby Unit.
Slide to the OFF position to switch OFF the Baby Unit.
PAIR button| Press and hold to pair with a Parent Unit.
